I think you miss read. I said "the consistency of apple sauce". Not feed it apple sauce.
consistency = degree of firmness, density, viscosity, or resistance to movement or separation of constituent particles - boil the juice to the ∼ of a thick syrup
CGD = Crested Gecko Diet
and yes there are more choices of fruit other than apple.

Oh no doubt. I'll most likely try going to a reptile show next time there's one near me to find one. That how I got my 3rd leopard gecko, the other two did come from a petstore, but that was before I knew how bad those stores generally were. Those two are doing amazing though, so no worries now.

They can eat crickets too. That shake is probably Crested Gecko Diet and I'm not sure what its made out of but I know you can feed them just that (pretty sure anyway)
the CGD was too "liquidy" it needs to be a bit thicker. like cherokeekid said it needs to be like the CONSISTANCY of apple sauce.

to much water in the CGD. It should have the consistency of apple sauce. Nice and thick and you will have a well feed gecko.

yeah, if i were u i would look for a local breeder. They may be a little more expensive but they will be in a lot better shape, and healthier.

i trade a tangerine leopard gecko for it and gave the guy 10 bucks but you can get full grown ones for 70 or 75 and babies for around 50 bucks
