Sellers does a Kubrick imitation in Lolita when Claire Quilty tails Humbert and Lolita to the hotel. This is Sellers' actual voice heard here. BTW, this clip was shot in January 1969, years after Strangelove or Lolita.
petey was great comedy genius but sad 2say.. that doesnt add-up 2 a great human being very empty man..could be anyone but him self god rest the evil bastard..
Very interesting footage. It even appears to be black and white Video footage, instead of the color film footage shot for the "Let It Be" documentary. Am I right or wrong?
@iluvme4never Listening to both of them for ages, to my ears there is no resemblence. Sir Alec was no Liverpudlian, a different generation and a trained stage actor. Well, it's all in the ear of the beholder...
Yepp,I agree, Ingridthepoet, (are you a poet?) Similar eyes, similar noses, they must be related...or not...perhaps people can look alike without being related closely, or perhaps we are all related...
peter sellers even sounds like john lennon here, or is he just imitating their liverpool accent? he was a master at voices and accents.....the two great peters, sellers and cook... brilliant masters of their art....what a loss, both gone too soon ..
@KarloR27 He did "hard day's night", in medieval garb, sitting on a throne, in the style of a Shakespearean soliloquy (using the metallic vocal delivery of Laurence Olivier's Richard III ). I'm sure it's on YT somewhere
paul is not even sitting beside john..its ringo to john's right..and anways..john was just having his other leg up..while doing tat..his leg hit the floor or something
@JumboProductionsUTD , have you ever heard the drumming on strawberry fields forever, rain, a day in the life, she said she said, the end, long tall sally, come together, polythene pam ?

I know more about the beatles and their music than you will ever know. Period. Yes I know of the drumming on those songs. Ringo was just that. A pretty good drummer. He was never, EVER by no means a musical genius.
asking him to join the band after best's exit. calling him the greatest drummer in the world. begging him to return after he left in 68. working with him on numerous occasions during their solo careers.
that's what the other three thought of ringo.
jumboproductions will soon stun the world with his groundbreaking music. quoted as a major influence on generations of percussionists for decades to come, he will forever eclipse the horrible work of the bumbling amateur that is ringo.

First off, just because I didn't change the music industry like the beatles did, doesn't mean I automatically can't criticize it. You'd learn that the first day of any debate course. I suppose I also couldn't say Xmen 3 was a crappy movie because I have never directed an X men movie? You idiot.
"Ringo isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles".- John Lennon. they never called him the greatest drummer ever. You are incorrect.
oh and also they chose him as their drummer because he was ugly.
Oh, that and I never said the beatles never wanted to work with him. I never suggested his work was horrible, and I never referred to him as a bumbling amateur. Allow me to rearrange my mouth the fit all the words you've stuffed into it. You failed on just about every conceivable point you made. That's the last I'm going to discuss of this.
People I have a crazy thing here, I 'think' (but i know really) the American accent he is doing is Stanley Kubrick. seriously, any Kubrick fan who's heard him talk will know this, and Sellers probably just came off a Kubrick film quite recently when this was done, i really think this is Sellers doing Kubrick x
Pretty sure John hadn't kicked the addiction yet and they were joking around about how it's either a choice between drugs or exercise to find relaxation, but - alas - shooting heroin IS exercise.
This off-the-cuff segment was shot on January 14th 1969 just days after George Harrison walked out and quit the group on the 10th. You can see George is not there, and the other Beatles are down in the dumps. Peter Sellers was there at the Twickenham Film Studio that day in connection with the film "The Magic Christian". George did return to the group on January 22nd, when the group moved filming over to the Apple Studios.
there's unfortunately a wee blip in the sound at the funniest part of this video...
Yoko says "Shooting is exercise" & Ringo replies "Especially for the rabbits" ;)

in 2005 Paul's song "Fine Line" has the lyric "Come home brother, all is forgiven."

Good one Yoko.
I have heard John, in interviews, admit to using heroin, but only sniffing it. Never using needles.

aovint63: Ah...I was under the impression that John was referring to 'shooting up', considering his smack habit.
Odd bit of footage, not sure what to make of it. I liked it. I think.
Peter putting on one of his convincing American accent's - that man always seemed to be ON.
And as others have said, John does look a bit like Peter, like John's his little northern brother.
A pair of geniuses, whatever the case.

They must have really went on eachothers nerves here. You can see how John kicked Paul in his boot at 1:29.

yeah he couldn't write songs, but melody harmony and rhythm together make music and ringo had a perfect understanding of the rhythm part.
