sorry dude that was not a egr cleaning lol, reving the engine and spraying something in there will just suck it straight out throught the exhaust, you need to remove the egr and actually clean that not the throttle, see the angel of the egr how did you expect to clean it? its gettin sucked right by it. and damn your car sounds like shit pull the vavle cover off and do some work, that is horrible!

I see no reason why this should harm the engine if you do it right. I used a whole can on my Focus TDCi and it's done it a world of good. Warm up the engine first, get someone to hold it at 2000rpm and spray small amounts at a time into the engine. It's extremely flammable so the engine actually revs up during the process. When you're done, take it round the block to blow all the shit through the engine. I noticed a performance increase straight away.

This is NOT EGR cleaning, change the name of the video, please. What you are doing is ridiculous! The engine must not be turned on in any point of the cleaning. Also you should remove the whole EGR, not just cleaning the hole in the end. Useless

@jfloryn22 Nu s-a dus in motor ci in camera de ardere, asta inseamna ca va fi evacuata mizeria sub o forma,arsa sau nu, insa asta nu se poate numi curatare cu spray-ul ala.Solutia este demontata cu tot cu suport pt ca la Focus nu se demonteaza doar SUPAPA si curatata bine,benzina,etc.Fii sigur ca nu o curata spray-ul daca este depunere puternica

Geez, change the title of this video, that's not egr... but amateur throttle cleaning. Nothing of that stuff would even get to the egr 'cause it's all being sucked into the engine. The egr valve brings exhaust gases back into the engine so that would be like spraying against the gases flow. Ridiculous

I think i would have removed the egr and checked and cleaned it, so none of that crap gets into my engine. Wonder if that stuff would wash out the oil from the cylinders and rings? Oh well, its only a Ford Focus.

Sorry, but I wouldn't let them within a mile of my car, the only way to properly clean egr is to remove the inlet manifold and intercooler, and relevant hoses, as these are also full of carbon and oil, wash out all these thoroughly with carbon remover or petrol make sure all are completey dry or egr will dirty again in no time. This guy very nearly over combusted the engine, could have blown the gaskets and seals.

i cant seem to find the egr valve on my car? it doesnt look anything like that but this site says it is mounted on the throttle body. and im pretty sure its the throttle position sensor which is going into it?

What a lot of crap. TDDI shown here runs on Bosch VP pump and during cleaning pump is going crazy due to wrong combustion. This will foul knock sensor and then the pump which can't adjust timing properly. That's why it will add extra fuel and this is the reason why the car throws that amount of smoke.

If anyone know how the EGR is built or here or those who had cleaned it ever will understand that spraying will not help.

But hey, snakes oil will help...

Used it today on a Opel Zafira Y20DTH (2.0 diesel 100pk; turbo + intercooler , direct injection). Mileage 111K KM, 69K miles.

Although it takes some time it's definitely worth while.

Engine temperature was normal and no ECU errors or emergency program.

Although the engine wasn't that dirty at all it seems to run a little smooter and nicer. We had no (extreem) black clowds like in this Youtube movie. Great stuff from Wynns and save to use for individuals (if following the instructions).

Meseriaşii lui peşte românesc. Niciodată, dar NICIODATĂ, nu se porneşte motorul fără filtru de aer. INDIFERENT DE CIRCUMSTANŢE. Darămite să îl mai şi turezi 8 minute fără filtru de aer ca să "cureţi" valva EGR.

poti aduce argumente tehnice; poti povesti intamplari pe cazuri reale ,nu sa arunci vorbe; respectivului ii merge masina mult mai bine; fumul ce apare in final e din cauza ca a pulverizat el cu motorul oprit; eu am facut aceeasi operatiune , si alte zeci de persoane; crezi ca a intrat o tona de praf in motor pentru 10 minute fara filtru ?
