  • I wouldn't be suprised if the government had destroyed this amazing sculpture which shed an archaic light upon our modern human species! Check my video called Stonehenge Decoded

    on my channel...

"The Earth will spring forth TRUTH!

  • The native american legend about the old man is very interesting. I highly suggest checking it out.

  • Was that carved, or was it just a coinsidence?

  • it wasnt carved by hand it was natured made

  • @RockBandPlayingTaco It was routinely maintained and held in place by cables, but it was originally a natural Rorschach test.

  • if i was there when it collapsed, and many fans were there, i would have purchased huge speakers and got a microphone and yelled "SUCKS FOR YOU!!" :D

  • Dude thanks alot.

I'm gionna use this for my project.

    LMAO!!!

  • I saw him when I was like, 5. I thought it was cool, but like all things, it had to die.

  • Rest in Pieces, Old Man of the Mountain!

  • LOL =))

  • I saw the Old Man of the Mountain many times when I was a kid. My mother loved to vacation in the New England States and a regular stop for my family was Franconia Notch. Even as a kid, more than 30 years ago, I remember hearing that the rock structure was very fragile and required maintenance to keep it from falling apart and that no matter what was done to preserve it eventually it would disappear. I guess nature finally decided that it was time for the Old Man to go.

  • I'm an ole Granite Stater.

I Grew up With The Old Man Every Summer.

I Moved to Arizona Summer of 2003.

    I Shall Miss Him.

  • i gotto go and see him but i never saw him up close andim soooo sad he fell off the mountain he was made by nature it soooo sad

  • i had heard about him but had never seen him...and so i just searched for him and found him here.

did he simpy fall naturally or did someone cause him to fall?

  • naturally i believe i did get to see the old man of the mountain and he fell down in 2003 in the month of may when it comes may itll be 5 years since he fell all you can see is the forehead now

  • it fell because of ice and snow and stuff half of the head is still there though

  • his forehead is still there. someone i know told me thatthe road was getting fixed and that didnt help much ofit falling

  • he ain't there any more. he fell

  • Sadly nothing lasts forever. Such formations are ephemeral on geological time scales.

  • all thats left is his forehead. i seen it couple times before it fell. i been going to NH since i was 5 yrs old and im 19 now
