OMG I Loooovvveee this!! The music puts it over the top. I loved their relationship. Peter took it easy on him because of the former intern who jumped on the train tracks, & found a real friend. Is the music a piece I could find maybe?

I have always loved the Benton/Carter (Father/Son friendship) it was such a beautiful example of ER's emotional impact.

What happend with Carter in the first 40 seconds that he's a patient in the hospital?

@Irmaaa1 - Carter developed an infection or something to that effect in Africa. It led to Kidney trouble, dialysis, and finally the need for a Kidney transplant. He was working at County again but finally his body gave out and he was moved up the list for transplant.
