  • Love the graphic bead ring and want to try to make a similar one. Is it easy to find non allergic wire in different gauges? Great vid, btw.

  • @DollyMat when you buy your wire, bring a magnet with you, if it's magnetic, it contains nickel which is what causes most allergic reactions.

  • Beautiful!!

  • thanks 4 sharing a nice vid

  • Thank you for the clear and concise video. I was all thumbs with my first attempt but after watching your video was quickly able to make 3 rings in just a few minutes! And double thanks for keeping the camera close. Some of the other videos seem like they could be useful but either the camera is too far away or they keep moving out of view of the camera. Thanks again!

  • ive seen these before and no offense but they seem really generic

  • thanks for the vid it helped me so much!

  • Wonderful! very very beautiful

  • Very helpful. Thanks

  • That is such a great idea to use the crimper to flatten the wire. I am going to try making a wire ring. I have not made one before.

  • Love this video, very helpful!

  • how do you make the ring on your right hand

  • Best to do bead video ever. Excellent pace with concise, clear directions.

  • I just realized, her voice kinda resembles Jamie Lee Curtis. Interesting!

  • She does such a good job of "instructing" to a video camera. LOL I learned more from Auntie's Beads tutorials than I have from others. I love your tutorials!

    Susan

  • me gustan tus anillos pero necesito saber la medida de los alambres a utilizar. Gracias,

  • i was wondering if this can be done with 22g wire. i have 1 big ead left after making a set and figured a ring would be cute but all i have is 22g wire right now

  • @chray815

I'd say you can I use 24g wire for my rings

  • Thanks so much i was only think abt making earrings but now RINGS too ,thanks so much very nice video.

  • Niiiice!

  • This video is very useful and clear! Thanks!!

  • I FEEL SO MARTHA STEWART RIGHT NOW!! Just made my first attempt at the first ring she made using bootleg copper wire (which wasn't flexible at all), and a rectangular stone. It actually came out decent. I'm really excited! I'm a beginner at this stuff....THANKS!

  • Nice but why is she shaking while wrapping the wire?

  • @BonnieDunlap Because she is pulling it taut with one hand, and holding it in place with the other in order to pull securely.

  • They are amazing! Thanxx a lot!

  • thank you so much !!!

  • Best video I've seen so far! Thank you!

  • Wow, you make that look so easy. I think I will try this out.

  • Thank you for this! I am so excited to try this.

  • Hell yea. Thanks a ton, you are lovely.

  • Thanks! I was able to make a really pretty turqouise ring using this tutorial.

  • Just took a wire wrapped ring class at a bead store and your video is so much clearer and concise than what what presented in class. I would like to know how to make a loop at the sides to add dangles. Thanks so much for your concise instructions.

  • Yhanks for sharing

  • I would like to see you make the bead ring on your finger in this lesson, it's beautiful!

  • Really love your ring designs! I will post your video on my website!

  • Awesome!!! ;-) Thank you!!

  • Very informational and includes all the details...looks easy and hope it is when I try this ! :) Thanks for the video !

  • I've watched the bling-bling video too, will you be making more ring videos? Would love more ideas!

  • Great ideas for rings, thanks for all the help! Going to check out your web site for more tutorials.

  • I wonder...how much do you think the first ring would sell for?

  • @Fatkidsaliva My friend picked one up like that for around 5 bucks at a craft showcase.

  • You're a great teacher!

  • You make this look so effortless! I still can't get my rings to not look crookedy!

  • nice !!!

  • Excellent

  • I bought all items to make this ring. Unfortunately the ring is not round, but a bit like a rectangle :-(

And the flat coin-bead (I used 20 mm flower jaspis) is bouncing a little bit. The rings you show and the technique looks so easy, but it isn't.

  • Great video for beads. Need a video for non beads like pebbles.

  • 7:33 Lmfao

  • I have wanted to make beautiful jewelry items for years. Because of videos such as yours, I can begin to make many wonderful jewelry pieces!!! Thank you so much!!

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • She sounds like Jamie Lee Curtis.

  • @Lazybabyz Yes she can also make Activia ads, lol! (just kidding)

  • Very Helpful

  • this was very helpful thank you so much for making this video!

  • Great video, explains and shows clearly, no complications, no fuss. Just easy to do. Well done and thanks.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and art! I can't wait to try these techniques myself!

  • Thanks for all you do!!!!

  • i truly love this

  • The gauge is the thickness of the wire.

  • @PaulsBabyDoll Artistic Wire, 20 gauge, non-tarnish brass colored (24 inches). check out their webSite too...it is great!!!

  • What does the gauge mean? How stiff the wire is?

  • @obso1337desu it is the diameter of the wire or how thick it is.

  • Shauna...you are fantastic...by far the most informative video i have seen...clear voice...clear hand activities...great job...tyvm...

  • Can you find a ring mandrel at a michaels craft store or somewhere else?

  • does it have to be artistic wire?i tried to doa couple of rings with normal 22 gauge wire, and not luck, just with one, please help!

  • love it!

  • I just got a mandrel, and when I use it the rings come out so much neater. I've made quite a few of these wire wrapped rings; they've turned out so nicely.

  • so cute

  • I actually saw this tut, over a year ago but was very confused at the time. But I have decided to give it a go, made a few rings but not great. Your tut is the best by far you are so patient, clear and thorough. I must say I find using 20 guage wire hard to wrap unlike the lesser gauges.

I love the beaded ring, can you please a tut on that as well. I am really into rings right now, no doubt, my friends will snatch the ones I make from now on! Thanks for sharing, by the way love ur accent.

  • wow...thank a lot auntie, you just make a great video...i learn something new from your videos

  • awesome thank you :)

  • Great video. Do you have a video on how to make a pendant using a stone without a hole?

  • Ghetto style

  • This is awesome :D

  • @JacobHunterNigguh Then why did you click on this video?

  • oyeee practicamente es erronea tu tecnica para hacer anillos, como me doy cuente ni siquiera as templado el alambre y en su corte del alambre no se hace de esa manera se hase por dobles el corte.

practically hear your technique is erroneous to make rings, as I realize even as mild as wire and wire cutting is not that way is done by doubles.

  • best tutorial! thank you!

  • love this. Most helpful one yet - uses proper tools!

  • the handmade work its the best and Special Treasure

  • ...

  • is that 20 g dead soft wire

  • Where do you buy your wire? 

  • did not show how to get length of wire. to much left over silver not cheep

  • @tomtrip485 I agree, lot of wasted wire..but she's not using sterling silver wire, she's using the cheaper craft silver colored wire.

  • Bravo!! This is the most comprehensive tutorial yet, and I've been through many. Thank you.

  • great but were is the other laddy

  • Me parece espectacular todos los trabajos realizados por karla kam son estupendos aprendo mucho con ellos a pesar de q no entiendo mucho el ingles.

  • for your own safety, don't do what she is doing in this video when she pulls and strains her hands trying to wrap the wire tightly around the ring... she probably has tendinitis right now, and if you do what she does you will too. Use your pliers, that's what they are for.

  • When using sterling silver wire for this project, should it be dead soft, soft, half hard, ???

  • When using sterling silver, it should be half hard. Dead soft is so soft you can bend it with your hands; it would not be sturdy enough for rings. Hope that helps!

    Shanna Steele, Auntie's Beads Designer

  • how much can i sell these for? any help? i made on and my daugher's teacher wants one!

  • That would depend on the cost of your materials. I usually charge about $10 for my labor (which includes the length of wire used). Then I add the cost of the bead to that. I have sold wire wrapped rings for as little as $12 and as much as $20.

I hope that helps. I am glad you enjoyed the video and are selling those rings!

    Shanna Steele, Auntie' Beads Designer

  • thank u so much for your advise actually i just made one and someone else wants one so i was wondering how much i could sell it for.

all your videos are great THANK U FOR THAT

  • Well I sell ours for $40.00 but I use gem stones and use silver plated because silver is very costly and people will not pay the cost

  • Awesome tutorial. Thanks!

  • Excellent video!

  • Wow it looks like you have to be agressive with that wire.

  • wheres Karla Kam,.... okay we can keep her.

  • wonderful video and because you are a home girl, Texas, :) it makes it all the better. Thank you so much for doing this. I hope I can make a lovely ring as you did.

  • I hope to be able to make one of these!!! They are BEAUTIFUL!

  • Thanks, Your instructions are so easy to follow. I love wire wrapping. The rings are beautiful.

  • I LOVE THESE RINGS!!

  • Thanks so much for sharing, and your commentary is so good.

  • WOW I really like this. Thx for Sharing!

  • Really helpful video and lovely rings. Do you always start one size bigger than you want to end up?

  • I think I heard her say yes you do.

  • Yes. Because you wrap the wire around the mandrel so many times, you create a certain level of "thickness" within the band. You need to give yourself that extra size so you have room for all the wire. Hope that helps!

  • Fantastic, thankyou x

  • wow. i am always impressed at how easy you all may everything. Thanks a bunch! and its nice to know designers don't have to pay people to show them the same things. :)

  • I look forward to these videos each week you are one of the only reasons I get on the computer....keep up the good work

  • beautiful work Ms. Steele. Thanks for showing how to make nice rings.
