When it comes to playing music, everything comes with practice. I myself know theory by ear well enough now to play a lot of things I want to play. It could take 10 minutes it could 10 days, but in those 10 days I will have learned so much thru trial and error.

What I have also found out is that what I was doing when I didn't know any music theory was more or less the right thing to do after learning the theory part.

Learn ya scales and cycle of 4th or 5th's and practice!!!
