The noise cancelation mic hole in the top of the otter box exposes the iPhone and otter defender case to major damage. I bought this case because I work outdoors and needed ultimate protection. When any type of rock or sand particle makes it way through the small exposed hole on the top it lodges between the otter screen protector and iPhone causing serious damage to both case and phone. There's literally dozens of scratches on both the iPhone and otter case screen. A serious flaw in this

sorry man, I coulda hit mute on this review and learned just as much. Why 4 out of 5 and not explain why? Why do you keep saying "pretty good?" What DIDN'T you like specifically about it? Any 3rd grader can tell you something's "pretty good" or "kinda nice." Reviews are supposed to provide unique impressions based on SPECIFIC observation and experience. The defender is great. I dropped mine in the bathtub completley submergeing it. Only a little water on the back of the device.. Still works great. It got stuck in "Head Phone Mode" though -.-'
