The kid is a freak athlete and deserves everything that's coming his way (playing time, espn highlights, etc.) So I'll admit I was completely wrong. He was offered by Tressel personally as a freshman. Enough said. Centerville plays a TEAM game as it is. That's what the option entails. The argument was that Replogle is the best player between Alter and Centerville. And I understand that people don't get the separation between D1 and D4. You haven't experienced it.

It usually makes front page of the DDN. Although they are a sad excuse for a D1 team, they made the playoffs, and i think we beat them by two more touchdowns than you guys

If Alter beat Fairmont by God knows how much and Fairmont still made the playoffs, I'd say they could definetly compete in D1. And the argument that D4 is second best to D1 is a pretty fair one. D4 is "loaded" more than D2 is.

I watched him play many times this year. My whole argument up to this point has been that the reason Borland, as well as Alter, is so good is because Alter plays inferior competition. Therefore, Borland and Boucher were able to dominate. That just wouldn't happen in D1, playing a schedule like Centerville's. They may be good D1 players, but their dominating days would be over. Simply put, Replogle dominated D1 this year. 1st team all state. Twice a better player than Borland at his position.

Fairmont beat Wayne when Braxton Miller was hurt. Miller was their whole offense. When he didn't play, Wayne didn't win. Braxton plays, game over. And the only reason Fairmont made the playoffs is because of the Harbin points they received from a team who had to forfeit in week one. However, Fairmont wasn't as bad as people thought. Usually they are bad, but this year they had some talent. Northmont had injuries as well in the OT game.

He could be a great D1 high school player, but with the added competition (with the exception of Fairmont), his numbers and highlight film would be less appealing.
