saltpeta/Kno3 is available in fertilizer form from local hardware store. i bought 20 kilo bag for $40 over the counter legally. i dont know what everyone has issues getting it. ammonium nitrate is another story but kno3 is easy to get

@MrGordon1971 Not everywhere. I checked every local hardware store, home improvement store, and nursery and none of them had it. I finally found it in the form of Spectracide stump remover, which is 99% pure KNO3. And I live in a fairly large city. Just out of curiosity, does saltpeter have a very pungent odor? Because my stuff does, and I'm wondering whether that other 1% smells or if it's just the saltpeter itself.

Kno3 is also known as saltpeter but also potassium(K) nitrate(no3). You can get it many places, however I won't tell you because you need to research where to get it because then you will hopefully learn just how dangerous of a hobby it is.
