Ryder lost a step and was unable to keep up while playing on the top two lines in Montreal. I doubt he will find his old form with the B's because he needs a setup man and Savard won't be playing for him. If Ryder pops a couple of quick ones at the start of the season then maybe he will get some powerplay time and maybe he will be able to find some of the old magic. However, that is a lot of ifs and maybes. Ryder will likely be fighting an up hill battle for the rest of his career.
