This is not developing. You now put all the UI components on the screen. However, you can do this in code too. Now when you click, for instance on a button nothing will happen. I am also that old, and Dutch, and guarantee you that this is not an app.

I was doing websites (well, still I am) and started developing like 6 months ago. Of you practise and learn, you will make great apps. I wish you guys alot of luck, and make a fortune :P

@2008MrLego All talk and no game.. Why don't you make better apps than most people. This is a simple tutorial with no code. In order to make an iphone app for the app store, you have to write code. You can't just make a view that doesn't even do anything because it won't have any function without code.....

No offense tommy, but you can't really program. I mean I see you can navigate through the SDK to some extent but nothing more really. You have to learn the entire syntax. A real programmer creates worthwhile apps. Most people can make applications because they copy the code from elsewhere but it takes a REAL programmer to come up with syntax solutions and clever data structures and algorithms. But keep working on it and you will get it.

Other than that I just wanted to say you did something too specific to a program. You should have done a Hello World program that displays many of the different options like involving the ambient light sensors, proximity sensors, the accelerometer, etc.

Ok, first of all, I know syntax and C, and I am currently learing java. I am writing a full 3D games for the iPhone on the unity engine running OpenGLES 2.0. So stop programming in HTML, and learn some real code that will get you somewhere.

I program in HTML, ASP, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT, Cocoa, Carbon, C, C++ , C#, I have developed 3d engines, I also can program in PERL, Python LISP etc. So, I have a very diverse background in programming. Btw, hello world is not just limited to HTML, it is a great way to introduce new programmers to any programming language. Just so you know my coding in all of those languages were accepted by an Aviation Academy for there aircraft. + i wrote php for advncd uploading that you couldnt even comprehend

Actually you don't need Intel Processor to get SDK I have PowerPC and was able to get SDK just had to changed some stuff around.
