sounds good to me john, I hope that your car gets done soon man! you are doing great out there and I hope that we can help you get that much farther, but remember; we never stop learning out there.
for those comparing 427/428/gt500 etc cars to each other, keep in mind how much these cars are; what potential each one has; and understand that it doesnt take a 50k plus ride to get on track and to be fast. in fact I know a few honda powered cars that would destroy that whole list....
I know but lets keep that to our selves. As far as comparing cars we both know its all driver most of the time, so I think comparing RWHP to weight would be a much better way to measure which one is on top.
You must be kidding. I lap Roush's at Sebring and Homestead. If you've got one why don't you join us sometime at Homestead/Sebring with NASA. Are you SOLO HPDE 3 or 4? You need to be to run with the big dogs like my boy John here. We'll see if that Roush can keep up. Haven't seen one do it yet. Doubt I ever will.
NO, I dont have it, but the Roush 428 is a better handling car than the GT500. There is video on here that shows both cars.. GT500 is faster from the straight line, but not in handling. Saleen Extreme can wipe the GT500 off the track too
You are talking about entirely different things. This is a STOCK GT500 on the Road Course @ Daytona. Comparing a Roush Co. MODIFIED car and a Saleen Co. MODIFIED car to a Ford Co. FACTORY production car? How do you compare two Mod Companies with a Ford Factory Vehicle regarding suspension and handling? A Shelby GT500 never goes to Shelby unless you get a Shelby 40th Edition Package or a Shelby Super Snake. I openly welcome anyone with a Roush/Saleen to a race/time trial @ Sebring or Homestead.
Still Ford does more with their horsepower than the Roush. The Roush takes a factory GT not a GT500 thats way down up and does some improvements to it. I can take a regular GT and blow away a stock gt500 with some improvements too. But GT 500 is alot harder to get and more expensive than a Roush
the supercharger on the gt500 is 25 hp more than the roush one but the roush car has much better handling with the trackpak package. plus you cant go wrong with that awesome body kit :)
Hey guys, what about the the Roush 427R? That thing would probably blow away a GT500. It is built for the race track. Now, i'm am not trying to put down any mustang, some mustangs are just better than others. Either way, Roush or Shelby, they will both kill dumb civics!!!!!!!!!!!
This video is best watched without sound, just fyi.

Run the Roush through that course and it will smoke the GT 500

Are you talking 1/4 time trial? If you are then the GT 500 stock will beat a Roush. Im talking about handling.
