You obviously don't know WHAT you're talking about. Being in jail doesn't mean a person's EVIL. And it doesn't make it OK to subject them to dangerous and unsanitary conditions. And MCSO (jail he's talking about)only gives inmates 2 sandwiches a day - often with moldy bread and spoiled meat. Being an inmate doesn't make you a bad person. There's a lot of people who're in jail because they used bad judgement and made mistakes. Maybe YOU'VE never made a mistake in your entire life but most have.

Sherriff Joe sucks, and so does his system. He manipulates the system to his personal and families financial gain. His "crime sweeps" just ways of bringing in more customers.

I was there 35 days for child support, to a bietch that had 9 felony charges of fraud, all dropped, took out more than $10000 of stolen/ fraudulently purchased property of her house, all charges dropped. I fall behind one month, boom, I'm in jail.Almost get another charge for knocking out a fool, THE SYSTEM SUCKS!

No, you are incorrect. 99% of the people in Maricopa jails are NOT convicted, but over 85% are innocent people AWAITING trial. Less than 14% are convicted criminals, and less than 1% are convicted of violent crimes (murder, rape, etc.) It's extremely inhumane and improper living conditions.

i am sorry for this shaun attwood guy and the other inmates at this jail. no matter what mistakes a person has made, no matter what wrong doing, EVERYONE should be treated with clean environments, healthy meals, medical attention, etc. they are human too, i know i wouldn't want to be treated like that, even if it was my 'punishment'.

Freedom of speech? Freedom of expression? Once you violate someone else's rights and are incarcerated, you only have human rights left, even though many prisoners have taken that away from their victims. You have the right to remain silent, not the right to cable TV, Internet, weight room, gourmet food and air conditioning. 99% of the people in Maricopa jails are convicted of a crime and are serving their punishment, yes, punishment. We are a country of laws, as is the UK.

GoloGetRight: where do you live exactly? being of Phoenix myself, i can tell you that Joe Arpaio is anything less than commendable. Arpaio's system DOES NOT work - as should be evidenced by the fact that he has vastly more lawsuits against him than any other sherriff in America - typically rearding needless inmate death, and usually at the hands and practices of his employees. he is being investigated by multiple human-rights organizations. God forbid you or yours ever end up in such a place.
