Thank you so much for this! Have loved the FIXX since the beginning. Seen them many times starting with the Phantoms tour. Cy is a criminally overlooked singer/lyricist. Dan Brown was a big bass influence for me with his tasteful use of empty space, cool rhythms, and fretless work. Funny to see Jamie with that Ibanez instead of his usual "Brownie". I bought the exact same guitar in 1983! Rupert was very innovative and a major influence as well on my synth work.

Wow! ...one of the few studio tracks that sounds 10x better live! ...very deep song and simple yet complex. There's no other band like the FIXX. ...so talented. ...saw them live around 1992/93, and they were amazing. ...talked to them in the parking lot for about an hour before the show. ...really friendly and down to earth. I remember the singer doesn't drink, which is probably partly why it looked like he hadn't aged at all since the 80s.

I agree with briagh. The fixx and big country which I was fortunate to have both seen live in 83-84 were consisdered one hit wonders but their albums offered so much more. I love Youtube !

Like my other two faves, (a-ha and Big Country) The Fixx's genius is totally ignored by the popular music cultures. Impecable vocals, rich melodies, layered harmonics.... and the lyrics actually have meaning. Today's supposed music has no character or meaning, its all just dreck!!!

A solid band with a hard rock edge that started but stayed ahead of the pack as far as New Wave music. They still tour and are an amazing live show. Saw them in 05 and they still KICK ASS....Go see them and buy their Cds....
