Jeg har stadig den originale lp med dette nummer og lytter den regelmæssigt. Simpelthen essensen af min ungdom. Og Beefeaters så jeg til en koncert allerførste gang i Håndværkerforeningen i Randers i 1964.
Wow! I was there in 1969 at a summerconcert on the irland bornholm. it was my first live concert anyway, no wonder then, i was only 14 years old. never will forget this great band. what a chame that alexis korner take the singer peter thorup to london next year, that was it then for that great combo. there second lp is one of the highlites in any collection. farewell buddys...
Peter , din dejllige! Der findes ikke ord for hvor meget vi savner dig! Håber du har det dejligt deroppe , sommetider kan jeg høre dig synge påfuglen , og jeg nyder det! Vi tænker på dig!
It's one of the best danish blues singers ever, imo. Warm sensuel and very beautiful.. great music from a great band.. So sad that both Peter and Max has passed away.. Thank you Max, for the short moment in time when our "ships" mett and "sailed" side by side for a while.. A moment, however brief, but not forgotten... You are deeply missed LoveLove
So sorry to hear; both Peter (vocal and guitar) and Max (drums) from Beefeaters passed away in 2007 ... reminds me of their great lp: "Someday, far far away from here, in some way, nobody knows where, I'm gonna see you again, I'm gonna meet you there, I'm gonna ask you, did it go alright all the way through, I'm gonna ask you, did all your wishes come true ..." - Peter Thorup/age 20

Wonderful piece from the Store Regnegade Montmartre. The band is performing in front of Mogens Gyllings magnificent mask wall. What a show case!

To be honest i really don't see the resemblence either.

That would be James Litherland

the reply thingy is kaputt !
my comment about James Litherland is a reply to eulenspygel1917´s comment that Peter Thorup sounds like the singer from Colosseum
projektor4 2 years ago
you think so? I really cant hear that
bronenalladin 2 years ago
Hi bronenalladin, it´s just the voice that sounds similar on this track, give a listen to "Butty´s Blues" or "Elegy" from Valentyne Suite

Til Alrunen.
Total svedigt klip. Fra hvilket tv-program stammer sekvensen fra?
Efter at have set dette, har jeg erhvervet mig Beefeaters "Meet You There" på vinyl. Det er bare 1.klasses Blues.
