Just because they were on a break doesn't mean they weren't together. If my boyfrend had done that to me, I would have considered it cheating too. And if we had broken up and he had gone off with this other girl a little bit after we had broken up, I would have thought I wasn't important enough to him.

how would you feel if the man you love was that desperate to sleep with another woman after being with you? she must be devastated. just because people are on a break its not an excuse to cheat, its a time to evaluate your relationship and decide if you want to be together or not. i dont think breaks should even exist, your either together or not. if your mad tell your partner you need a couple of days to think, and then decide if you want to be together.

it sucks that they get back together i always hated ross. its sad how relationships nowadays are people get to sleep around and feel no devotion to someone they love and get to cheat on technicalities. ross claimed that rachel was the women he has loved the most and all this other BS but hours after they take a break he sleeps with the first woman that crosses his path.

@th1smomentisfate Oh please, evaluate the situation objectively. They were on a break and it was her call. She was willing to turn her back and give up when the going got tough.

If he thought they were over, and technically he had a right to, then he can sleep with anyone he wishes to. Talk to a divorce attorney on what his/her standing is in cases like these. Ross isn't to blame here.

so your saying that even though he slept with another woman hours after they went on the break, that shes supposed to be fine with that? and just go back to him? can you imagine being with someone that claims to love you but the second you guys go on a break he rushed to sleep with someone else? by the way a break means taking time to evaluate a relationship its not an excuse to go out and sleep around, they didnt technically break up.

@th1smomentisfate I'm not saying that she is supposed to be fine with that. But, one party isn't completely to blame. The way every1 blames Ross isn't fair. The onus falls on Rachel because she was the one who called for a 'break'. and who's to specify what a 'break' and a 'break-up' is. For all Ross knew, it could have been a permanent thing.

Rash decisions could be taken in the wake of a break-up. I've known worse things to have happened once someone calls it quits.

i do agree, that if a couple decides to go on a break, they need to decide if its a time to think over things, or if it means its okay to search for someone else and sleep around. its why i dont agree with breaks, your either together or your not. it is messed up that he rushed to sleep with someone else and was planning to keep from rachel that he had just slept with someone right before getting back together with her.

@asabirdfree Yes there was something going on with Mark. He was pursuing her through and through, and she spent more time and energy on her friendship with Mark than her relationship with Ross. That is an emotional affair and a betrayal to Ross. Furthermore a break is a breakup, period.  Rachel dumped Ross on their anniversary. I don't believe that Rachel had no time to celebrate their one year anniversary with Ross, but went on a date with Mark three weeks later??
