@BlackBason Nero is not Vergil's son. Nero is like, what... 18? Vergil at the end of DMC3 is like 20. DMC4 takes place about 10 years after DMC3, so Vergil would've had to have Nero at like 10 years old, and that makes no sense...

@BlackBason What is your source? I also don't understand why a game is incomplete, just because it contains a few things that were not contained within the general plotline. DMC4 has characters, story, conflict, gameplay, music, visuals, a protagonist and antagonist, and a resolution; therefore the game is complete.

@xXxD3adP00lxXx Thats not true capcom has never confirmed that. That wouldnt make sense anyway unless vergil was having sex at the age of 9 because nero was said to be in his early 20's. Dante and Vergil was said to be 19 in dmc3 and since dmc4 takes place 10 years after 3(confirmed in an interview where they stated lady was 10 years older in dmc4) that would mean dante and vergil are 29

Mundus also says it himself after Nero is beaten the last time that it was virgil

Uhm Vergil = NeLo Angelo and not Nero.

DMC4 Deadly Fortune(Novel) says indirectly that Nero is Vergil's son.

But actually no one knows if it's canon.

Nero couldn't kill Dante because Dante's stronger than Nero and he was 'playing him from the beginning' like Nero said after their 2nd fight in DMC4.

Dante was testing Nero's abilities in the first fight.

So the one you are talking about is Nelo Angelo from DMC1 aka corrupted Vergil.

also to follow up on my last post in the very first dmc we fight virgil who is under mundus's control where in dmc 3 we see virgil fight mundus so that adds up but this is where it gets thrown off track more end of the secound level in dmc 3 dante says to virgil its been nearly a year since we last met where does the time go right VIRGIL so lets base the first game before the third in the time line and it adds up pretty good there as well

@assalane i can see it but theres something that still doesnt add up after mission 2 of dmc3 you clearly hear dante say that its been a year since he last seen virgil only other time he coulda seen him was back in dmc1 just to go out on a limb here lets say dmc 1 came first virgil survives the dante fight and leaves to recover free from mundus then in dmc3 he comes back it kinda looks like it can go 1,3,4,2 or 1,3,2,4 either or are both as possible as 3,1,4,2

@SDShadowsniper there was a scene in dmc1 that portrayed dante vergil and their mother. It's fair to say they grew up together till a certain point, say 1 year before the events of dmc3. Then there is the fact that dante in dmc1 is much more mature and older then in dmc3.

Also the develloper said that the events in dmc3 happend before dmc1.

DMC is not a "Re-boot" but an attempt to make the Devil May Cry series "Better" but it's really just an Excuse for Failure because the original designers for the Devil may cry series aren't at Capcom right now.... *sadface*

DMC 1 comes after DMC 3 and DMC 4 after DMC 1 and DMC 2 after DMC 4.

(Hence Dante's style change throughout the Games

Dante's merely speaking of his Younger years (AKA what you don't see in the Games his FULL PAST)

@SDShadowsniper Kawaiifreak860 is correct. Chronologically, the order of the games is DMC 3, DMC, DMC4, DMC2. This information was given out during the hype-up before the releases of DMC3 and 4. I'm not sure why you would even hesitate to accept this.

i have heard alot about the dmc time line for example this was when he was 16 and the first 1 was when he was in his late 20s now i have a question for you all in dmc 4 dante is clearly not all that much older early 20s id say when he meets nero with him is trish and lady during this time (which i hear is before the first 1) he has yamato (virgils sword) rebellion and force edge (sparta) also how does he know trish if dmc4 takes place sometime before the 1st 1
