I rescued a 2 year old pitbull/greyhound mix back in 2003. It is hard to explain exactly how amazing she was. She was the most affectionate animal I have ever been around and her love helped make me a better person. Watching that video made me physically sick. Sadly we had to put Missy to sleep a month ago and our house is missing her terribly. People are so ignorant!

I have a 11 week old Pitbull cross Greyhound and he's the best pup i cud ever ask for i would NO WAY allow him to be a working dog! and as 2 morgasm657 racing isn't cruel untill the dog falls behind and then like horse racing they get shot mistreated and god no's what else.

People who support things like this are sick and shouldn't be allowed to have pets. Y can't we just have a dog for a companion? rather than to kill other animals it's sick!!! was a bit graphic tho but good message.

I have a Pitbull Greyhound cross who's only 11 weeks old the cutiest dog ever! despite the fact people seam to think that working dogs isnt cruel then y r there ban's in place 2 stop this from hapening? how do u no the dogs like it? do they tell u? as for racing greyhounds no its not cruel while they are running which they do enjoy, but if they fall behind they get killed or mistreated!!! u people have no idea what we (humans) are doing to the animals in this world! wake up and smell the coffee

greyhounds are great kill dogs for coyote hunting and pits are great for catching wild hogs there are lots of uses for these dogs other than racing and fighting

pit bull fighting is cruel but greyhound racing isn't as greyhounds love to run and let of loads of energy and like morgasm657 said crossing the breeds makes good working dogs and they have to power and speed and they dont have such fragile paws

you know if you cross a greyhound and a pitbull you get an excellent hunting dog with a sound nature at home and rarely with dog aggression, but with enough prey drive to tackle anything. also although fighting is cruel, racing in itself is not, its simply the industry. both dogs make excellent companion dogs.
