If you donate blood, the place you donate to will have your blood type and you can ask them about it, if they haven't told you already. Normally hospitals (in Denmark at least) will only check your blood type if you need to recieve blood.

One of my favorite things to do is too mention something about my personality as a result of my blood type, but not actually say what type of blood I have. "Well, it's b/c of my blood type." Then I just watch Japaneses people squirm before they can't take it any longer and frantically ask me what kind of blood I have. It works so well while drinking with Japanese girls, ~__^

I think that the "I'm from Kyushu" excuse was not to say that he does not know anything about Tohoku, but more along the lines of "I'm from Kyushu (and everyone knows that Kyushu people are emotional/tend to speak bluntly, etc.)", which actually puts it in the same vein as the blood type excuse.

It's basically just an informal type of religion; absolutely no basis in fact whatsoever, yet countless millions still believe it. BTW, I am O+.
