That was Pharrell when he was cool and humble. He's changed a lot since then, I hate when people forget who they are. He was creative, and different, that's what made the Neptunes as a whole successful. Now he's got a mainstream sound to his music, and it doesn't pop as much as it did back then.

main problem I feel with Neptunes now is that they sound exactly the same as they used to. Their sound used to be really unique and stand out - but now its sorta worn out and tired.

I love pharrell's beats, and this is one of my favorite songs of his. It took Justin a while to correct himself on the "girl you're the best" line though, haha, I was with pharrell. it kept bugging me that Justin kept putting a run on "girl" instead of just singing it straight through.
