  • WOW... I was smiling the whole song. Seems to me I watched this Sunday mornings before going to church. This was like the ONLY kid show I remember being on Sunday mornings. There was also a black girl puppet. She was budz with Norbert.

  • i had not herd it is so long ether in so long

  • Thank you sooo much for sharing this video. My big sister and I have been searching YouTube for it for years and I'm so glad I finally found it. This brings back so many good memories for her and I as this was one of the shows we got to watch before the abuse of our mothers' started. It seemed that her and I were the only two that remembered this show and now we have proof that it actually did exist. Thank you again. TK

  • Man i thought I was the only one who knew that song. THANK YOU!!!!!

  • @Adversaryan

not just you, i thought i was going crazy about remembering this song. then i heard my older sister sing it and then i realized i wasn't crazy. now i also realize how old i am...

  • I would love to see all those kids today. lol

  • Woweeee the memories...

  • People not from the Puget Sound area probably don't think this is as cool as those of us who grew up there.

  • I remember this fondly from my early childhood. I remember being crushed when it went off the air! Kids shows these days are a painful drop in content and quality, to what they used to be!

  • This show was only a local tv program. I'm from Tacoma, WA and I remember watching it. It was on either Saturday morning or Sunday mornings.. I forget which day. I loved the show! Listening to the opening song brings back memories!

  • Yes I just looked it up and Boomerang was only on KOMO, in the late 70's early 80's, since Marni has lived in the Seattle area for a LONG time! LOL

  • I have remembered this ever since I was a kid! I am from the Seattle area as well. Apparently from what I'm seeing from the comments, it was only a Seattle-area show. I had thought it was nationwide! Surprise! LOL

  • WOW! This is great! WHen I was a kid, this show was part of my every morning routine. When I moved to Las Vegas they didn't play this and no one knew about it. I recently moved back to the south King County area and went into the KOMO station and saw the wall of BOOMERANG photos and freak out! My husband now knows what I've been talking about for years :) THANK YOU!!

  • I remember watching this as a child, I'm almost 33 now. Growing up in the south seattle king county area, this is a very memorable part of my childhood

  • This make me soooooooooo Happy!

  • It was on KOMO until mid-1990, but was ran in the very early hours (think 5 AM) on SAturday mornings by then, mostly to fulfill FCC childrens' program requirements.

  • Thank you for posting this. I miss this show terribly. It's one of my favorite shows from childhood.

  • @neogutsman @pixielox @withagirllikeme2 @shanegrover2010 Are all of u from the Seattle area? I'm 38 in 2011, and love this theme song! If you look at the "record player upload" of Boomerang here, you can hear the "Goodbye Theme." Next time watch us, and we'll look for you too!

  • Thank you so much for posting this and preserving it. I have a lot of great memories of this show and of that era.

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!! I have been looking for this for a while now! :D I could only find the audio online for the longest time!

  • I thank you so much for posting this video!!!!! I'm only 25 but I caught the 4am reruns as a child and have missed it!

  • @withagirllikeme2

i'm also 25, and watched the reruns before they ripped it off the air. ahh good times.

  • Thank you!!! Been looking for *anything* from Boomerang for ages!! I remember watching it on KOMO just up the road in Vancouver BC.

  • I've been waiting to see this for years! Happy memories! So many people who weren't born here in the 70s have no clue what this song is when I sing it to them...usually drunk.

  • Im 40 from Seattle and I remember watching this especially on Saturday mornings before the cartoons I always thought it was a national show.but just not to long ago found out its was localy produced by KOMO 4 Seattle Thank for posting good memories

  • I'm 38, and this is a great throwback to my childhood era! Do you have the "Goodbye" theme from Boomerang to upload? ("Next time watch us, and we'll look for you too.")

  • Marni Nixon's son was the late singer Andrew Gold who passed away yesterday at the age of 59. He made a couple of tunes back in the late 70's, "Lonely Boy" in 1977 and "Thank You For Being A Friend" in 1978.

  • i literally had not heard this song since the last time i saw this show in the late 70's. like another commenter said i was a kid again for 2:14

  • for 2 min and 14 seconds, I was a child again. Thanks for posting :)

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!

This show and Norbert were the foundation of my childhood.

  • @fatherjuanbeinya Norbert is in the Museum of History and Industry, from what I hear!
