To show progression of time better, dad, you could have used elements like close-ups of the pages, or short video of a clock every hour from the tripod, then blended the shots. It would be much smoother that way.
For comedic effect, there should have been more stages between bored and ill and death. They could have acted like higher brain functions were shutting down.
The video is entirely too long, but I do like the beard joke at the end.
