Yeah but the "build your own feature" is really lacking. It mistakes white bricks for yellow or for nothing at all. This makes me think the scoring is pretty messed up too. WAY overpriced at $30.

I don't like the idea of Legos being competitive at all. That's not what LEGO is about. There shouldn't be restrictions on the imaginative process.

I totally agree! I liked the concept of learning how to use LEGO and explore it's possibilities like this, but I was a little bummed out when they added a competetive mode to the app, AND calling the weaker builder a loser.

@johafo Yeah, I thought that was a little harsh because LEGO has never been about how fast you can build their sets, it was what you did with them that mattered. It was always the journey and then sometimes it was leaving that journey to start down a completely new path. LEGO is still one of the best companies in my eyes, but this has tarnished it's image for me just a touch.

As for @flehan09 ...you have to learn to respect nostalgia and try and refrain from being blunt to people who feel that their childhood is being turned into a lie.

@ronathandaman Agreed. It's just LEGO hasn't actively encourage something like this before so that's why I was little disappointed in them. But like you implied, you can play this if you want, not if you don't, so it's all good. Who knows, maybe this will pave the way for more LEGO apps.

@WookieChef LEGOs are already competitive, see Creationary and the other LEGO Games... I think this app has a different target, they want to do something different being able to use iPhone. And however... you can be competitive also with normal LEGOs, don't you think?

@emmegiii True, there were Lego video games and Lego board games, but the actual act of building had not be linked with competitiveness. I've played those games. Enjoyed them. I even think the app of turning what you've created into a digital version for storage or sharing is fantastic - especially if you really want to keep what you've created but don't have a lot of pieces. It's just with this they are turning the heart of LEGO into a competition and I'm not sure that's something I can stand.
