  • they can deffinatly have more than one male lion in a pride, as long as they are relatedd; like 2 brothers will rule a pride;; nd they have small fights over who breeds which female;;

  • I guess I don't really understand why a powerful coalition of 6 males has not taken over a pride with lionesses. Why do they remain without their own pride? Anyone know the answer?

  • @khasperg As far as I know there's never more than one dominant male lion per pride. If these 6 wanted to have the right to mate with the females of a pride they'd have to fight each other (and whoever the current dominant lion) I suppose they'd need to either find separate prides or have one almighty waterhole (bar) fight?

  • bull shit

  • try change the video name to : "Lion Kill: Mapogo Pride EATS ALREADY DEAD Giraffe"

  • Just give him a bandaid, he'll be fine. : )

  • Talk about the meats sweats

  • is that some kind of safari enclosure? those are hardley wild animals anymore they probalbly hate giraffe but they do it for the camera.

  • @Florrezmaximal No this isn't an enclosure, these are the legendary Mapogos. Actually they control a huge territory, although some has been taken by a coalition of 4 males called the Majingilane males ( who were once 5 males until one was caught and killed by the Mapogos ). These males eat Girrafe, Rhinos ( young ones ), Elephants ( young ones ) and Hippos among the normal prey like Buffalo and Impala.

  • Umm,...looks like they're almost done eating. You may want to start running your asses off.

  • THAT ... WAS BEASTLY

  • #lion

  • Lions are not disabled u idiot get out this video if u think they have flaws stupid little girl obviously they are the most brutal fighters and u think theyre disabled what and idiot seriously king of beasts for a reason fool

  • the young adult males are pushed out of the pride and form gangs of males in order to organize a hunt to survive. In lion life, it is the FEMALES of the pride who do the hunting!

  • Comment removed

  • couldn't u have said this without the swearing?

  • @TheElkhane

Not disabled but it makes it easier for them to overheat.

  • yes but males can also hunt, they have to when they don't have prides

  • Is this the first exampleof gay lions ? Where arethe girls at boys ?

  • cool vid, thanks for posting,,I love seeing stuff as close to "normal" as you can.

  • What is the difference between the Washington D.C. Zoo and the White House? answer: The zoo has African lions, the White House has a lyin African!

  • hahahhaha.. LOL

  • 1091floyed21. Yah learn how to spell free it's not frre dumb fuck oboma is your jackoff vid aient it.

  • What does this video have to do with Obama...? nothing...

  • You are clearly incapable of backing up your retarded views with facts. You lack the intellect. Ihate to say it, but people like you perhaps shouldn't have frre speech. Why Obama of all people? I can think of far better examples than him. You clearly can't write for shit either.

  • que asco que leon tan puerco

  • World I know

  • Yah he does and the Americans have lots of guns in they're hands why don't we put them to good use oboma loves blabbering on tv and flying around the wpurld on our money once he lands shoot

  • You do realize that even joking like that gives cause for the Secret Service to come looking for you, right? Not threatening you, just a bit of a warning.

  • at the end when the alpha male looks at yall i think he is considering that he might have ran out of the good meat..lol

  • Feed oboma to them save us and the geraffe

  • Obama has the blood of millions of babies on his hands

  • No the one who aborted them has the blood on their hands. Just like bush has the blood of thousands who died in his war and thousands who died because of this recession in iraq and america

  • this makes it sound as if the males made the kill..id like to see the kill scene

  • The Mapogo lion coalition is one of the most feared lions of all south africa. Records indicate that the Mapogo's are responsible for 50 lion deaths from 5 different prides. According to Elephant Plains, the Mapogo's have been killing "buffalo, adult giraffes, even young rhinos and hippos. And lions. And they were not just killing the lions.they were eating them." These Mapogos dominance, ferocity, killer intinct and immense strength has made them one of the most feared lions in recent memory.

  • Would love to see the 50 lions from 5 different prides they have killed..... The Sabi Sands may have a total of 60 resident lion. Don't think the Mapogos killed them all........... Makes for a good story though

  • Elephant Plains reported early 2008 of receiving a report from Sabi Sands stating almost 40% of the lion population has been killed by the Mapogo Coalition in just the past year. That relates to approximately 50 lions

be interesting if Nat.Geo filmed this pride

  • @Chucho86ny Thats pretty bad ass! You never (or I have never) heard of a band of males staying together unless they are young..Sounds like these lions prefer to be without a pride..

  • Actually when male lions are sometimes seen alone may indicate they rule over more than one pride.

Check out the Smithsonian magazine Jan issue which is about the brutal life of lions.

  • Ive not seen it but I have seen things like that be4. They are screwing, fighting, machines. They do them both, fast and furious and then burn out, whither away physicaly and then get killed or fade away,,,right?

  • That pretty much sums it up. Seems like this applies to most in Nature, which is a harsh, brutal & short existence.

    It's eat or be eaten.

  • yeah, Most of the liberal bleeding hearts in the world think that all animals in captivity would be safer in the wild with care free lives,,lol In the wild its a stressfull daily grind and most things die an agonizing death,,lol,,People can make anything into a mountain

  • This is true, however I think most lions or any wild thing in good health would still prefer living in the wild "on the edge" rather than be confined to a small area for life in some zoo.

However regarding any disabled critter, the opposite would apply.

    Thx 4 writing.

  • @carpnter2000

Would you rather be stuck in a room and be given everything you needed, or be able to roam the world freely but have to deal with the stresses of life and work?

  • Comment removed

  • @carpnter2000 Roaming the world maybe not, but its not as if they stay in small areas. Many plains animals migrate constantly over hundreds of kilometers in search of food and towards traditional breeding grounds. Im talking zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants and many other antelope.

A lot of other plains animals do stay put but they have vast territories, this includes most predators, rhinos etc...

Leopard territories range from 30-78km squared, no zoo can provide this.

  • @emieldelange You are correct! I dont really give a shit either way to be honest. I am not some tree hugging liberal ,bleeding heart. I say take what you want for captivity, screw how the animal feels (kind of like the way we treat cats, dogs and old people) and let the rest of them fend for themselves. Oh Wait, thats kind of like it is righ tnow so I guess this conversation doesnt really have much merit. What is it, 100 species go extinct everyday and that just is what it ..

  • @carpnter2000

Fair enough, i dont hug trees, i am liberal. I disagree with you on all other points.

  • @emieldelange LOL,,,so we agree to disagree ....if you would of just taken it for what its worth from the begining and not drug up a 3-4 month old post. We would never of had this conversation in the first place and you could of still silently agreed to disagree with me........is it a win win situation or a fail fail?,,,u be thejudge.

  • @carpnter2000 That was a pretty selfish comment, I hope you really don't fell that way, I'm conservative republican but that does not mean I'm a greedy self centered POS. I love trees and animals and I believe we are here to protect them instead of exploit them, that's our role, just like a father to a family(protect and rule), that does not mean we don't use our resources responsibly and with kindness. We must strive to be better, or we are doomed to never evolve further than what we are now.

  • @emieldelange is *

  • @emieldelange let me think....Ummmmm if I am one of the only 50 black rhinos left in the world,,,put my fat ass in a cage, feed me,, fuck me and protect me from poachers, lions and diseases..........besides,,roaming the world isnt what animals of the plains do. They walk over here and eat,,alk over there and fuck,,walk over here to drink and walk over there to sleep.....they do the same shit in a zoo but they live longer...

  • @carpnter2000

Animals in enclosures do not behave normally though. It is incredibly difficult to start breeding programs in captivity, the contact with humans, limited space and lack of freedom give the animals stress and prevents them from wanting to mate etc...

It is much better to protect their natural habitats.

  • hahaahaaa

  • Are you fucking retarded? Do you not know correct verb tenses? The lions HAD ALREADY KILLED THE GIRAFFE prior to this video. Past Perfect tense -- NOT present. Learn to title your videos in the correct tense, douchebag.

  • i hate past perfect, and present perfect etc.... hard to learn...

  • wen the lions finished the giraffe, then they start making video loool

  • OMG.... THEY'RE MONSTERS!!! HAHA

  • Ehm, a giraffe can kill a lion in one kick.

yet, that is if they know the attack is coming.

  • ehm whos the king of the jungle? well those who stays when beeing challanged, thats is the lions! lions never run away from any 1 vs 1 battle and yeah a lion pride would take on a full grown giraffe and win no doubt about it.

  • I'm a lion , wanna eat giraffe , ohh yeah

  • JA VI ///PAULO ROSA

  • last day smell was terrible you could take it from airstrip

  • those cats are stupid u no they killed my giraffe and they are coming extink!

  • wow castlechill you are a moron. do you go to texas tech?

  • castlechill, your dumb u know why cause the male lions have already eaten most of the giraffes body and an adult male lion can take a fully grown giraffe zoologists who study lions have even seen it so which means u don't have a single clue what they would do 2 u ;)

  • Yeah right! that is the smallest male giraffe I've ever seen. Let's see them evade the kicks of a fully grown bull giraffe. It would take more than 3...more like 6 because three would die from being kicked to death.

now who's king of the jungle?

  • wow dude, if lions can handle elephants then i think they can kill a giraffe.

  • hahaha dudeeeee your soooo dumb hey

  • wow, you truly are the dumbest person on youtube.

  • yeah!

    giraffes rule!!!

    (sarcasm)

    idiot

  • actually, castlechill is probably right. those kicks of a full grown bull giraffe will kill any of us and mess up any lion

  • The Mapogo Lion pride long after they've killed an adult male giraffe in the wild.

Not during, or even soon after.
