I do not think this song is very relevent right now. I guess that really depends on your vision of america now, where you want it to be, and what america was designed to be. As I was saying, the tax cuts generally favor the wealthy as they are the ones that pay the bulk of the taxes. Its the burden of wealth, taxes. Fair is not allways politcally sound practice. If the lower and middle class had to pay 50% to 65% of their income they would only be lower class than they already are. What is always terrible for the economy is the vastness of separation between the poor and the wealthy. That is what causes recessions. We may be close now as the difference is huge.
