  • The best that never was. He would have given Jordan a run for his money.

  • @destructoboy995 Marcus Dupree is the best that never was.

  • Imagine if he got to play in the NBA...

    Jordan vs Bias

  • Shawn Kemp carbon copy...stop comparing this guy to Jordan makes you all look unintelligent

  • Who knows...if he played maybe the jordan era never would have happened...

  • More like bias threw away his chance to play in the nba. He died because of his own stupidity and lack of morals.

  • you know Pepsi had offerd Bias a 33million dollar deal..but coke got to him first....

  • "Mom I got Drafted!!! and I'm gonna celebrate with Cocaine untill NBA pre-season´s start !!!!!"

    3 days lates overdosed!!

    TrueStory

  • Rip Mr Len Bias, you will always be remembered

  • Air Jordan? Try Air Bias

  • I'd give my left nut for a Maryland #34 jersey with "Bias" on the back.

  • Why He Had To Smoke 'Crack?

  • In some parallel universe, Len Bias never died. He played in the NBA and fans got more than just Michael Jordan; they got a rivalry. In another parallel universe, Len Bias never achieved his full potential. Then in yet another one, he and MJ were teammates, each trying to overshadow the other and neither got a championship as a result.

But in this universe, Len Bias died at the young age of 22.

  • @avoiderdragon Damn, that's deep. I like it. Nice.

  • His "friends" failed him. End of story.

  • Damn r.I.p forever loved in the DMV

  • He would have been way better than jordan!!!!

  • @drewevettgs5 idk but len was great too.

  • @drewevettgs5

...now lets not get crazy here.

  • @washcloud Man he use to punish Jordan and UNC!!! I have to agree with drew!!!!!!! I feel you though cause Mike was the best and it's so hard to argue that but I seen what he did to UNC with my own eyes. I'm not talking these You Tube clips either. I saw those games and Jordan was no comparison!!!! Even the announcers of the game new it!!!

  • @RazorReg

The thing is that Bias (unfortunately too) died at 22. MJ thrived till at least his late 30ies as a bball player. No overall comparison can be made to justify a...declaration such as "he WOULD have been better than Jordan". I don't also want to get into analysing what "better" means (1on1 match-ups don't say much), yet I'll add that various players never got to develop respectfully in the NBA, even though they were NCAA super stars full of potential (and vice-versa too).

  • All in all, poor Lennie might have developed to at least of a similar caliber along MJ (or an even bette one for that matter) - yet we'll simply never know due to what fate had coming for him. Personally though, and judging by their aggressiveness in style (and how "game-wise" MJ proved to be even in NCAA), my opinion is that he was, is and will continue to be the best that ever was in the game. Till of course a day comes that actually somebody will be born to become even better.

  • @washcloud Not fate. Stupid cocaine nose nigger.

  • Don't smoke crack

  • a finished product from the start, better than jordan imo

  • Man, he was a beast!!! Before Kemp, Lebron and Blake... There was Bias. Rest in Peace brother Len!!

  • My God he was great....makes me so sad to think what could have been. RIP Len

  • Learned about Len Bias from ESPN's 30 for 30 series. I wonder if Bias is shooting hoops with Drazen Petrovic in the great hereafter.

  • The late 80s and 90s would have been like war between the Bulls and Celtics.

  • @rapa329 God i wish we could have seen that!! Boston had won the title that year they drafted Len. No telling how many championship Boston would have won. They would have had to dealt with the Lakers first though. Trust me even they would have had no answer for Len and Larry and Kevin and the Chief and the Bench!!! My Goodness!!

  • Holy fuck. The Celtics would have won the championship every year if he didn't die. It wouldn't have even been fair! lol seriously Len Bias, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish.

  • Reminds me of Shawn Kemp

  • 00:53

you can see the ball above the backboard and he got that bitch, just AMAZING

  • @hugondmendes Its the angle that makes it look like its above the backboard. He would have changed the way people thought about the Celtics: a highwire act, dynamic scorer and an intimidating defender.

  • Len Bias is better than Michael Jordan, period.

  • @MJL043 Was.

  • @thegame311

    Wasn't.

  • @MJL043 That's impossible, he's dead from a cocaine overdose you stupid fucking retard.

  • That nigga double jumpped ! @:51 sec

  • it was paul pierce destiny to wear that jersey #34 for the celtics

  • The Celtics were very unlucky during the late 80s/early 90s. Red Auerbach, basketball's greatest genius already had the Larry bird succession plan in place when Larry was winning his first MVP in 84 - he traded Henderson to the Sonics for a first round pick, but he didn't want the pick till 86 predicting they would slide and get a high pick - that turned out to be no 2 and Len Bias. Add to that Reggie Lewis dying, and they were robbed another golden era.

  • Hey we all make mistakes just ask Tiger Woods what hanging out with the wrong people will do for you. Hanging out with Jordan cost him big time, but you can't say that anybody worked harder than Len Bias he just used some bad judgement on some of his friends.

  • All this talk of Bias being better then Jordan is laughable. The great players, like Jordan, are driven to win. They are naturally talented but also work constantly to improve their game. Jordan improved hugely between his rookie season in the NBA and the end of career. Very few players work hard once they sign that first million dollar contract. If Bias was the kind of guy who only cared about winning, he would have spent more time in the gym and less time snorting blow.

  • @reddwarfposse I watched both of them Jordan couldn't hold Lens jock, he was bigger stronger and faster and worked his ass off!

  • @theducksfan21

Bigger, stronger, and faster doesn't mean better. Greatness requires the mental strength to out work your opponents. It means working hard in the off season and avoiding the distractions that come with fame. The history of basketball is full of people who were big, strong, and fast but wasted their physical talents because they weren't mentally strong. If Bias had the mental focus to be great, he would not have been snorting coke two days after getting drafted.

  • @theducksfan21 ...And smoked a shitload of crack in one night and dropped dead.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds i heard it was one hit...but with crack there is no such thing as one hit.

  • @reddwarfposse from what I heard it was his first time doing it, which then made his heart explode. he was celebrating with his friends and cuttin loose after he got drafted. thats how I learned to never fuck with coke cuz you never know how the first time could affect you.

  • lf Len had lived, Jordan would have never won 6 NBA championships...maybe 4 but not 6.

  • @publica74 He would still won 6

  • 1:09 FAGGOT ALERT!!!! LMFAO!!!!

  • If bias didn't die the NBA would've become bulls vs. celtics and the warm up games inbetween

  • we would of won so many championships if he didnt die instead of air jordan....air bias!

  • It is crazy to say he would have been better than Jordan, we cannot see what would have happened, but it is evident he was ultra ultra talented and could have been one of the greats... what is more important is to remember why this debate even exists. If you think drugs are fun, just look at Len Bias, died the day he was drafted, how fun was that? Had he said no that night, we might see him in the HOF.

  • faaaar out imagine larry bird and len bias together sweet jesus that would have ben the greatest duo of all time!

  • perhaps give him a HOF?

  • Dogg I wish he could of made it... Its sadd that he didnt he had so much game... And who knows we could of saw len bias on a nba 2k cover... If he would of made it...

  • GOAT? This isn't a Wilt tribute.

  • Did any1 else see how high this nigga got at :50 sec?????

  • @2legit2quit6 yup.. what bout 1:45!

  • @2legit2quit6 Impressive. But not as high as he got that night in that dorm room

  • @2legit2quit6

That must have been well above 4 feet. Wow.

  • @2legit2quit6 His whole arm was over the rim!!! Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good music choice, Len Bias was the man. R.I.P.

  • Wow its sad the people argue on this. i watched this right after the 30 on 30 ESPN documentary. very sad.

  • Celtics were drafted him right after they won the 86 championship... Fair to say one of the greatest ball teams of all time was going to become unstoppable!

  • its a shame he died let his bball spirit live through every court, basketball, and player!

  • sad

  • You cannot compare Jordan to Bias. They were two completely different type of players. Jordan was a shooting guard, Bias would have been a Small forward. They might have guarded one another occasionally but that would have been it. Bias would have to guard players like Dominique, Barkley, Bird. Let's just think of how they would have owned the All-Star games. I for one am glad and sad he didn't make it. He would have absolutely killed my Laker teams.

  • him and bird and that team would of been unstoppable...pistons never would of won any of those championships bird would of had 6 or 7 rings and bias may have stolen a ring or two from jordan.

  • why are you talking what would of happend then? maybe he would of sucked in NBA... no one will ever know now, end of story.

  • len bias has a freakish talent but i'll pick michael jordan over him on any given day. why? because bias doesn't jordan's competitive fire and the will to win. second jordan has a national championship and two gold medals, bias doesn't have one of those. finally bias took drugs which caused his death and made him the loser here because drugs are for losers. i have nothing but utmost respect for len bias but even if he's alive he will never be greater than michael jordan because is destined to b

  • @bonzie1645 I don't see how you can say he would never have been has great as jordan considering they never competed at the professional level.

  • @bonzie1645 NOTHING is "destined" to be. Shit simply happens based on the choices we make. Michael Jordan chose to work his ass off and make the most out of his god given genetics and circumstance. Len Bias chose to work his ass off with his god given genetics and circumstance. Only, Len Bias made one bad choice and it cost him his life. There's no such thing as "destiny". Destiny is for losers. There's only the choices we make. We create "destiny".

  • @TheChoice264 real talk

  • @bonzie1645 There's no way you can say had Len Bias lived he would not have been greater than Jordan. We'll never know. This I do know. Bias owned the Jordan Tar Heels. I remember. I was there.

  • jordan and bias are different players

  • that picture at the end is ridiculous!

  • @MsOllieBaba ...and misleading - the photographer is at ground level with a 300-400mm zoom lens, the resulting perspective makes him look a bit more elevated than he actually is, this is a normal sports photography trick there's lots of pictures of NBA athletes with their hands up near the tops of backboards. I don't want to discredit Len Bias though, he was CERTAINLY a stellar athlete, his vertical would easily be up among top NBA athletes.

  • now everybody should like this comment.......if len bias was to make it to tha nba with jordan it would have been like todays lebron and kobe debate......lebron plays like len to me and kobe and jordan have tha same game to

  • @jwright334 i agree 100%

  • @jwright334 yea but Len would of been playing with Bird in his prime..he wouldnt even of been the best player on his team..that may of been the most dynamic duo in the history of basketball...we'll never know

  • @jwright334 Bias was better than Jordan. He was stronger, more athletic and more versatile. Imagine Bird and Bias together? If Bias didn't die, the C's would have three peated 86 to 88 and they would have been contenders throughout the 90s.Bias dying swung the pendulum of NBA lore into the Showtime Lakers and 90s Bulls favor when in fact Bird was on the verge of going on a Russell like run.

  • @FavreianVengeance he was better than Jordan IN COLLEGE. But there's no way to gauge if he wouldve blossomed into a Jordan-dominant player in the pros. Plenty of examples of great college players who werent quite as great professionally. And since he already was a habitual coke user, I doubt he wouldve sustained

  • @Vergadoce I get the anything can happen concept. But assuming he was going to be healthy and not die - Bias was a beast. I'd have expected great things from him like a MJ, Magic or Shaq.

  • @FavreianVengeance No one expected MJ to be THAT good. Anyone who says they did is lying. However, there are more examples of great college players who tanked in the NBA than vice versa. I think Bias at least wouldve been good. I doubt he wouldve been a bust. But great? In the NBA that takes another level and who knows. His dumb ass robbed himself and us of the chance of knowing for sure.

  • @Vergadoce Also reports were that Bias was not a habitual drug user and that he OD'd his first time when he had a NBA entrance party.

  • @FavreianVengeance No, Bias had used before. The FBI was surveying Rayford Edumonds, the biggest drug kingpin in DC at the time. Guess who's car appeared multiple times in their surveillance footage making buys? Yep, Bias' car. It was his plates though you couldnt see his face. So Im not buying that time when he OD'd was his first time. And Brian Tribble said they'd used many times before that. The issue was the coke was 97% pure. That shit was straight off the boat

  • @jwright334 Len Bias is nothing like Lebron. He's more like Blake Griffin that can shoot. Lebron ball handling and passing game are out of Len's league. But Len's post moves and shot were not comparable to Lebron.

  • @jwright334 len had a way better jumper than Lebron does

  • @jwright334 len is like a mature lebron.. no excuses no foolish plays .. i honestly believe len bias was the best ever.. :52

  • Lebron Before Lebron

  • Wouldve been a more athletic Bernard king

  • Comment removed

  • @DrSanto91 I know. I mean I'm not a fan of the C's but they surely would not have been the team they were in the 90s post bird if they had these players. It's just sad and unfortunate but it just wasn't meant to be I guess.

  • lebron woulda been a none muthafuccin factor if my mans woulda hit tha league succs erybody great from outta maryland that go to tha celtics die quicc...

  • Bias was a bigger, more physical, more skilled version of Michael Jordan. He was a beautiful combination of power and finesse. Had he lived, he would have changed history, as Jordan may not be the global icon he is today. Heck, Larry Bird might be the most revered player in the modern era, 'cause Bias extends his career. And Magic Johnson only gets two or three championship rings, in my opinion.

  • @kisswriters whoa dude a more skilled jordan? maybe bigger and more physical, as well as equally athletic, but more skilled lets pump the brakes there cowboy. It's an absolute tragedy he died and the world missed out but you can't declare him better than the best ever just because he died. R.I.P Len Bias dude was a beast i guess we'll never know...........don't smoke crack

  • @TheKjackson38 Actually, Bias died as a result of ingesting powder cocaine, not crack. But those are the types of stereotypes the media puts forth...and it's the media that has bestowed this "greatest ever" title upon Jordan. I do not agree. He is undoubtedly "one" of the greatest ever , but he is also the most selfish player in the modern era, in my opinion. More important is his legacy off the court, nonexistent. All he had to offer to the world was basketball, and he did that yesterday.

  • @kisswriters well played sir i apologize for my ignorance in thinking it was crack instead of cocaine....hard to argue that jordan wasnt the best ever though i respect your opinion and was wondering, as you seem to know the game quite well by your comments, who would you view the best? I am young personally, only 22 years of age, so i would say jordan, bird and magic (hard to pick the better one they went at each other), then followed by oscar robertson.

  • you could've been MVP according to JJ Abrams

  • DANG!!---GOOD MIX, GOOD HIGHLIGHTS!!!!! -Bird said they couldve won more, had Bias lived..... MMMMMMAAAANNN!!

  • One of the greatest NBA careers tht never happened. Boston would have 5 more rings in the Bird era if this guy lived.

  • @dominsmith The would have had Lewis and Bias on the same team, just imagine if they were in the same team in the 90s, like that the celts would have not sucked for most of the dcade, and Red Auerbach just knew what kind of players needed for his team to

  • LeBron before LeBron is what many who saw him live have stated. Look at his physique as a college player. Could you imagine what it would've been like with NBA-style training? I think he would've been a more polished, well-rounded, Dominique Wilkins myself. Criminal that we'll never know.

  • everyones saying he could have been like jordan but he also could have been a complete bust

  • @SL4VE0WNER1904619 Not likely.

  • @LeeVing88 how so? there are a ton of nab busts

  • I wouldvve been rockin Air Bias 34s

  • Say no to drugs kids.

  • @levitynyc Hell yeah....this nigga the main reason I don't fuck wit drugs...

  • I think the Jordan comparisons are stupid...just different types of games completely if you think about it...but, now that we know the type of player LeBron is...Bias could've certainly been comparable to that....I think Bias woulda been more like the Rain Man Shawn Kemp...just at SF with some more range and explosiveness

  • R.I.P Len Bias

  • bias > lebron james, james should take cocaine

  • he wasnt hooked

  • @ammo3451lauphing at my oatmeal?

  • Michael lucked out this guy was the shit

  • with Bias on that celtics team it would be Bird everyone would remember as the greatest for sure not that some dont believe he already is but with Bias as an addition to that team Bird would of retired with 5-7 championships.

  • dang. we'll never know what he clda been. R.I.P Mr.Bias

  • Len Bias looked better than Michael Jordan. Really.

  • he has too much talent for that time , that,s why god take his life so early

  • if Bias hadn't died, we'd be talking about number 34 now and not 23.

however I am sorry to say I have no sympathy for drug addicts who died because of their addiction.

this be a lesson to us all.

  • @nasoszeppos you sound like Nancy Reagen "Just say no to drugs" it's pretty naive.....

  • @THXcooper for many it is that simple which makes YOU the naive one... for others not so much as you reference... but don't be a total idiot

  • @GGGGeorger u have a point..im to brazen at times.. my refferance was more toward any true addict. that slogan is a joke though.. anyone else figures it out as they mature a little...nancy was a joke, sticking her nose into a crucial problem at a time.( when the crack epidemis 1st started) she was naive..i feel

  • @THXcooper Yeah, that is indisputable but maybe her motivations were to reach kids so being a bit naive/campy is part of the routine? As a kid of the 80's and a little part of the 90's I know it had about zero effect... your parents and guardians need to be the ones shouting that message. The ads changes significantly since then... but even if they are smarter and more savy I can almost 100% say they have about as much effect as Nancy's message... but in the end... no is the correct answer

  • @GGGGeorger well said

  • @nasoszeppos So if Magic had died and never played in the NBA, i could use the same logic: If only Magic had lived, we would be talking about him and not Larry Bird. Magic would have been better than Bird. . .See what I did there?

  • @nasoszeppos He wasn't a drug addict.

  • @nasoszeppos he was not an addict, and i have sympathy because its life that got taken away from an avoidable desicion

  • 86 celtss already best nba team ever, holy shti with this guy starting over ainge hoyly shitt another 8 championships in row !! 86-92!!

  • The dude was a beast. I honestly don't think I've seen a player with this much athleticism and that includes Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, all of them.

  • @FavreianVengeance More than Jordan? I don't know about that man.

  • @yeon723 The consensus was that Bias was the better athlete than Jordan. Look at Bias compared to Jordan. He could jump as high as him. He was about 3 inches taller and could plays PF like a SF. Jordan was a twig dude. Even when he bulked up later in his NBA career, he wasn't as buff as Bias was in college. You have no idea what you missed out on if you don't know.

  • @FavreianVengeance I agree, only because I am 25 years old. I guess it's because I only see dunks and jumpshots from Bias, whereas with MJ I saw more maneuevers and acrobatic layups in the NBA. It certainly helps if Bias didn't die but I think it's unfair to Mike to say there's a dude who could have been better than you, it's fair to compare their accomplishments in college. In my opinion though, had bias been alive I think he'd just be like a Carmelo Anthony type player, my 2 cents.

  • @yeon723 Carmelo is a ground player. Bias is an above rim player. That's right off where the comparison is terrible. Do some research and you'll find that Bias was more touted out of college. Watch some of the stuff on yt and you'll see it wasn't hype. He was a sure fiar future hall of famer. Few players would I have said that about - Bird, Shaq, Webber; not even Jordan would I have said that about.

  • @FavreianVengeance Well then you're just biased!

  • @yeon723 Nice play on words. Everybody's biased. I hope you were just trying to make a joke.

  • @FavreianVengeance Ok then your also saying he was more athletic then Bird.

  • @kratos01510 ???

  • damn the person who drugged him.

  • Len Bias is the G.O.A.T. he put the word AIR in Jordan...actually, FUCK JORDAN...AIR BIAS!!!

  • @8181418 lol u are so right

  • @8181418 you and everyone that thumbed this is literally retarded n knows nothing about basketball yes he was probably one of the greatest COLLEGE basketball players n might of been great or maybe just a Kwame Brown or maybe something in the middle once he came to the pros.... but sadly nobody will ever know but to say fuck AIR Jordan the man that defined Basketball is blasphamy... but all that aside RIP Len Bias

  • @8181418 you cant say fuck jordan, jordan is the goat you fool, len was great though he had the basketball world at his feet along with a loving family. tragic how one mistake ended his career and life, tragic.

  • @8181418 LOL and besides AIR BIAS sounds much better

  • it wasnt like he was ON drugs..he did it once and it killed him..yes he should not have done it...but people say he was ON cocaine and he wasnt..he just got unlucky thats all..if anyone disagrees send me a message

  • @kylepizzapie wtf are you talking about? yes he was on da white snow. yes he was using COCAINE

  • @kylepizzapie By using it even once, the man was on drugs. He died of a cocaine overdose you retard.

  • if bias dont do drugs, i bet he could be as good as michael jordan.

    im positive.

  • I guarantee you, Bias doesn't go down, the Celts have at least 2 more rings than they already have and Bird/Mchale play until 94 or 95 due to reduced "mileage" on their bodies that Bias would have caused.

  • 1st time i saw him in action thx to youtube!... moves like dominique think of the great things he might achieved for the celtics, such a big lesson to be learned from his story.

  • Len Bias is the GREATEST there ever was period! Jordan would've been 2nd! That's final!!!!

  • @Ccole5555 MJ is the greatest dumbass. You can't determine somebody would be great because of college. There was alot of great college players that was shit in the NBA. Len could been one of the sorry ass players in the NBA.

  • The crowd must have gone fucking nuts at 1:30

  • im from dc my mom boyfriend told me he used to be arguing with his family in carolina about jordan and bias

  • Sad that he passed away, we might all be wondering when the next Air Bias's would be coming out.

  • i read a book about him, said that he was better than jordan in college

  • @pimpinshrimpin He look better because MJ had played in a team system dumbass. MJ didn't have the freedom to score alot like he did in the pros.

  • @Domini478 you dont really need to freak out just sayin what i read in a book. its an opinion douche. never said jordan isnt the greatest of all time.

  • @pimpinshrimpin It was a stupid opinion.

  • @Domini478 stop trolling the fuckin video!!!!!Why are you all on Jordans dick! You'll never know what Bias could have done shut the fuck up already! Yes there are people better then jordan DR.J! JABBAR! LARRY BIRD! WILT CHAMBERLIN. THE PEOPLE WHO JORDAN WAS BEATIN WASN'T EVEN THAT HARD COME ON SEATTLE SUPERSONICS?!?!? UTAH JAZZ!?!?The dude is fuckin dead act like you got some sense and quit rubbin his name in the dirt.

  • @Cooley96 Len was good in college but that don't mean he would be great in the NBA dumbass. There were alot of great college players like len that wasn't shit in the NBA. Nobody is better than MJ dumbass because he has the record for the highest scoring avg, the most scoring titles, the most finals MVPs, and the most all NBA defensive teams in NBA History. MJ had faced plenty of comp and he was so much better.

  • @Domini478 What scoring titles does jordan have? he has no records at all, yes there are alot of players in college that sucked but I doubt Bias would have been one but no one will really ever know. the competitors jordan were better than were magic johnson wow! isiah thomas? karl malone? Jordan definitely has skills N all but jordan never even beat competitors like Larry Bird, Wilkins and Drexler

  • @Cooley96 Are you retarted? MJ has 10 scoring titles and that is a record. He has plenty of records and that was some of them. Google it dumbass. Dumbass, I had said there was alot of great college players like Len that was busts in the NBA. There is no guaranteed that Len would be great in the pros. You are so dumb because MJ had beat Isiah and Magic in 1991 playoff season. He beat Karl in the 97 & 98 finals. He beat Drexler in the 92 finals. He beat Wilkins like it wasn't nothing retard.

  • @Domini478 what the hell is so special about a points per game scoring title? I already fuckin know who jordan beat anyway I said that his competitors weren't all that hard notice how he never went to the playoffs in the 80s when jabbar, bird, and dr.j were in the league?

  • @Cooley96 Dumb 14 year old nigga...The special thing about that is he was consistent through his whole caree
