  • Well duh gun beats knife ... captain obvious. Ill take both

  • This knife is good for cutting thick leather. I use this knife for gardening, whether its cutting twine, rope, plastic sheeting, digging, etc. It is not just a weapon. Knives were, in fact, invented as tools and afterward they were used as weapons.

  • lol lol lol lol ninja fat ass

  • Look at that cool fat guy, knifing that meat. Shanking those cardboard boxes. Pretty cool.

  • nice blade! :)

  • awesome fatman... ((:

  • That fat guy thinks he's so fucking badass, I'd like to kick his ass!

  • Internet tough guy has us all shaking in our boots.

  • but im wearing socks. =/

  • That fat guy, as it's put, is Lynn C. Thompson, founder and president of Cold Steel Inc. and has been training in knife fighting, amongst other things, for over 30 years. I'm fairly certain you'd get yourself killed.

  • ass kisser...lol.

  • All I'm saying is that people should get their facts straight before posting. :P

  • i need 1 for personal PROBLEMS o_0

  • lol my girlfriend goes good job ur killing meat loll

  • I love your videos man!

I bought a replica of the Mel Gibson Sword from "braveheart" in Toledo, Spain, and I used to practice in the park, it is a really heavy sword, people used to walk away when they saw me... I hurt my forehead with the "T" of the sword, trying to make some stupid drawing I saw on Conan, I still have the scar.

  • This video was a whole lot cooler than that gay zweihander one. I like how the fat guy acts all slick when drawing the knife.

  • hope they washed that raw meat! nobody likes salmonella poisoning.

  • you could disembowel someone with that knife!

  • Lynn Thompson is the man.

  • imagine stick this up someones nostril

  • where do I buy this knife????

  • what dvd was this from?

  • these are terrible sick weapons designed only for one purpose - to bring serious dreadful harm and permanent damage to someone at close quaters. Anyone caught making these or in posession of one should be locked up. For those of you who genuinley need a self defense weapon - buy a gun to shoot burglars and criminals at range.

  • Or a knife that doesn't mess up its victims. Replica sharpened dirks kick ass. I'd carry a pair for self-defense.

  • Okay I self defense is justifiable but still it doesn't make sense - do you plan to risk getting close to a criminal/burglar to use it? Why not use a gun so you dont have to get close?? What a dreadful weapon! Thats like the knives they used to cut out tongues and eyeballs out in the medival days absolutley dreadful

  • Guns fire slugs which can hit bystanders. They also jam, and backfire. Modern guns do well, but they still can fail. A blade will not fail you.

  • Yes, indeed, the sole purpose of this knife is close-quarters self defense.

Here's a fact for you - a man with a knife vs a man with a holstered handgun, at 21 feet or closer, the man with the knife wins almost every time - it's called the Tueller drill

Some people, with years of training and vastly above-average relexes, can draw-aim-fire before the attacker can close 21feet but even for those exceptional cases a distance of 15 feet or less hands the victory to the knifer every time.

  • Ran out of space, only allowed 500 characters per reply.

Furthermore, firearms are prone to failures, jams, over-penetration, and the simple fact that after the adrenaline dumps into your system in the fight-or-flight reponse, your accuracy with a firearms drops to 20% of what you have at the range in unpressured shooting.

Most shootings (be it cop vs crim, civ vs crim, or crim vs crim) happen at distances under 15 feet, and more rounds fired miss the target than those that hit.

  • @dieaufopferung now here's a fact for you, if i have a Beretta m9 holstered and you have your play thing holstered at 20 feet i promise i will put one through your head. Never bring a knife to a gun fight or buddy you WILL get fucked up good. to keep it simple GUN BEATS KNIFE!!!

  • Mmm... they should design a Weapon that only Causes it's victims Serious Happiness and Optimism

  • @colmv123 LOL you crack me up. move out of the USA if you feel the need to push your views on to others.

  • i wonder why they chose a fat balding guy? maybe hes the most defenseless person they could find at the time?

  • fucking lol'd

  • funny fat guy with a knife

  • I would not call that guy fat, he looks scary weilding that knife.

  • no, the video is just sped up :P

  • It seems to be based after a Kukri.

  • I've never seen a Kukri, but I thought they were used to cleave with the curved tip sticking upward.

  • It's like a miniature, inverted machete.

  • i got this dvd free in the mail its like an hour of their entire catalog with this guy stabbing meat and shankin up cardboard shit

  • Ooh look at me Im stabbing a defenseless piece of meat. How bout you try that with real people see if you dont get fucked up.

  • Would you like to volunteer?

  • Wow. Yet another person in the world who doesn't know how to joke.

I lower my head in shame to you.

    :-(

  • lol

  • stop stabbing that meat and eat it you fat bitch!

  • that knife is cool

  • where can I get one of those?

  • haha he dont need to multiply cuz hes already 2 ninjas! lol

  • it's basically a fixed blade version of thier their vaquero model with an egg-shaped handle

  • thats a old knife

  • The Desperado features a serrated, 5" Nogales clip point blade and an innovative egg-shaped Kraton handle. It effectively combines the performance sensibilities of a push dagger with the versatility and convenience of a conventional boot knife. Special attention was paid to the knife point. Designed to be sharp, yet thick enough to withstand hard impact and even light prying, the Desperado's point has strong advantages over other blades with less pronounced curves.

  • wauw you knife can cun cardbord :S

  • which cold steel vid is this from?

  • that knive is 70% indonesian design especially the handle and s curves exactly like the rrentjong , javaneese dagger, and semi -keris called pisau belati check out donn draeggers book about south east asian weapon and martial art 1980 they just change the handle material but good work though
