@Canoga56 That is a very emotional movie. If you have any sort of love for riding that brings you to a raw feeling. Love that movie. It is the only movie that will get you totaly pumped to ride.
That sense of freedom when riding with friends has now been replaced with the fear of having the police fine you thousands of dollars.
At least for me anyway...I remember when I was a kid and could go for a rip and have no worries in the world...That was the best, I don't care if my bike didn't have 12 inches of travel.
I would say that this movie is the standard by which all other motorcycle movies are judged, except it is so far above any other, that in my mind at least, it is the ONLY motorcycle movie!
My favorite motorcycle movie of all time. I really like how Steve roosts a cow patty on Mert and Malcolm. And the best part is when they are riding on the beach and the title song plays - truly magical.
Absolutely the best motorcycle movie ever made. It made me try most of the different kinds of motorcycling I first saw in this movie. It still makes my heart race to see it. Thanks for posting it.
EL SNORRO! THanks so much for posting all chapters of this movie. I haven't seen that movie in 20 years. Its still as good now as it was then. Thanks again!
THANK YOU FOR POSTING ALL CHAPTER OF THIS! I haven't seen that movie in 20 years. Just as good now as it was then. Where is Bruce Brown now? We need an updated version of this movie. :)
we saw this movie in 1973 and immediately made our bicycles 'dirty!' - 20 inch wheels, banana seat and tigers head handgrips! - stolen trail bike handlebars and long hot dusty summers at the new subdivision behind our houses. I like to think we invented BMX - I've owned a paris/dakar BMW for 22 years.
They used almost the same words in the second one, I don't care what my friends say, this film is awesome and gives you a genuine thirst for dirt biking and road biking.
I grew up watching this movie. In the '90s! I didn't realize it was an old movie until long, long after I'd started riding. Everyone I grew up with rode '70s bikes so nothing seemed out-of-place. Hands-down my favorite documentary, and I think I can safely say it beats out all "proper" movies, as well.
Great thing ordering the DVD. I think that by getting to watch things first..it will help many companies as most are like myself, usually have watched the DVDs that I purchase. Copyright laws are silly.
One of the truly great films, I went to see this with my dad when younger and the happy memories it brings back on racing motocross and trials in the winter are really moving. thanks for posting, I just went and bought the DVD on the internet

I don't know anyone who rides Motorcycles and isn't deeply touched in a wonderful way when they see this movie.
It is without a doubt one of the highest compliments anyone can pay to Motorcyclists and the sport of Motorcycling.
God bless Bruce Brown...

Haven't seen this since I was a kid back in the '70's. Back when XR 75's and MR 50's were the coolest things on two wheels. Saddleback Park forever.
