@KatyBananaPeel Green Anoles will often turn brown when they are stressed. The other lizard had a good bite on him, probably caused some pain, which stressed him.
@KatyBananaPeel I don't know much. So it's always a pleasure to inform people with what little knowledge I possess. Of course, some actual expert who majored in Herpetology will tell me I'm wrong.
Both: He, He, He he he he, haha, hehehe he he he 1:WTF Man! that was to far, dont talk about my mom like that! Both:RGRGG!!! *nomming heads off* 1: *falling* OMG HELP! 2:OMG hold on! *clunk* 2:shit. 1: *climbs back up* both: he he he he he he he he 1: *attacks* 2: WTF was that for? 1: YOU LEFT ME TO DIE!!! *fight* 2: *wins* IM GONNA EAT UR FACE NOW! *nom nom nom* *5 mins of facenomming* 2: *lets got* lets not tell mom about this. 1: yea both: he he he he he he he he he
Lol i was busting up with them flipping each other around then hanging off the edge. Its funny that people buy these green anoles at the pet stores for $7-$10 when people have them fighting in their back yard lol. Great job on the vid!
@UnSure14 It's actually common for them to do that I had 2 anoles like these and they fought all the time. Where they puff out their neck is called a dewlap, it makes it look bigger.
Yea Green Anoles fight for territory. Those were males, because females dont have such big throat fans. But it very rarely ends in death for the loser.
That was so funny! I love Anoles, they are one of my favorite lizards, they are extreamly aggressive though! I tried to put one in a tank with my young skink, the Anole attacked poor Lorchan(the Skink)on the head!
OMG dude I live in Cedar Park, TX and I just witnessed the same thing in my backyard! I got some of it on my camera phone, but not as good as this. Good job!
It freaked me out how they bobbed their heads and then puffed their throats out. Crazy!
This is a green anole and they bob their heads and puff up to intemidate the other anole. Very cool though I have two of these

lol thats not how my anoles fought, i recently seperated them, but one hung the other one off the log by its throat, lol

It'd be great if humans just fought like that. UFC would just be guys slowly vibrating towards each other and than just breathing aggressively.

lol why do they puff up like tht ...tht wuz sum great footage and perfect timeing....how did u notice them??
UnSure14 3 years ago
Thanks! I am not sure why they puff up like they do. My best guess would be to show off that one is bigger than the other.
As for noticing them, I just happened to see them in my backyard and ran to grab my camera.

This was the good footage too. The stuff I cut made me sick. I bought a tripod after making this.
