It was Kaede dude. I did the math. Pimula was out first. Rin said it himself,she was his family. It was no more than that. Next, Nerine and Sia. Nerine had a beautiful voise and Sia had better chances. Both didn't win because they didn't know Rin as well as Asa or Kaede. With Asa and Kaede, Kaede had the best chances. She knew Rin the longest and had been his childhood friend. Asa is a good fit, but it toke me by surprize. It was the first anime couple I got wrong. I like the outcome though.

@zankudragon Most people find Asa annoying. I kinda have to agree with them. Then there's the fact that she's really selfish and a horrible friend to Kaede. Even though she knew that Kaede has feelings for Rin, she flirts with him in front of her all the time, which was what lead to Kaede's breakdown in the anime. It was honestly quite cruel of her.

If it did Rin would probably be dead and so would Asa and we'll see a scene of Kaede holding Rin's head (well that's what happened in School Days).

@twilightwindwaker Well, if you think about it, Kaede's episodes are partly Rin's fault... when they were little and her mother died, he stupidly (though with good intentions) basically told her that he killed her mother while she was still in shock, which caused her to hate him until she found out the truth. I mean, I know he was just trying to help... but it was still pretty dumb of him.

Then with the Asa incident, he had been ignoring her and flirting with Asa right in front of her for a while, not considering her feelings. It's actually Rin's stupidity that causes her "crazy" moments, if you think about it. Then again, it's interesting how this scene apparently didn't happen in the original visual novel. If you choose Asa, Kaede gets depressed, but accepts it and doesn't flip out.

On the other hand, according to the anime's path, Rin and Asa met somewhere earlier on as well and kinda grew into a normal relationship eventually. But it's kinda funny, when you think about it, with the English translation to it's OP song. It kinda fits all the girls and thus the entire series.

I liked Nerine until they did the date at the weird heart shaped carnival her hairstyle totaly ruined it but however it was obvious that this was going to be one of those animes where Nerine, Kaede and Cya (never paid attention to how to spell it so if its wrong oh well) weren't going to get Rin or it was just going to be one of those animes where the male char gets alot of girls liking him but the series ends before he starts to date one.
