As for the link you provided, it refers to additional troops to Afghanstan. How can I question such an item when it is public record? It is a material fact that troops are being rotated from Iraq back to the US and fresh units deployed to Afghanistan.

Over time it dries and becomes very brittle almost crackly. Carpenters glue has been around for ever and probably the safest, also you can dowel those joints which I am sure you have done. SedinK9 - I was referring to your comments regarding the FCC and Obama's 'private military' only. I have no idea as to why my post did not show in the correct sequence.
As for the link you provided, it refers to additional troops to Afghanstan. How can I question such an item when it is public record? It is a material fact that troops are being rotated from Iraq back to the US and fresh units deployed to Afghanistan.

As far as Obama's private militay - thoughout history, prominent leaders have always shown a certain favour to certain military units. Cesar, Alexander, Napoleon et al have championed a particular military unit, why should Obama be an exception as leader of a powerful nation. I don't look down on anyone homeless, cc. 20 some years ago I spent a short period of time on the street myself. But I have every right to question the culture that produces so many homeless. It just needs to end. I study marxist infiltration. The ones who are the most vocal about solving problems are the same ones who create them. Gotta watch out for that Glue CC.
Over time it dries and becomes very brittle almost crackly. Carpenters glue has been around for ever and probably the safest, also you can dowel those joints which I am sure you have done. Doweling threw it and it will never come apart if you don't mind the end grain of the dowel on the finished suface, sometimes its a nice look.

A little humor. I've used Gorilla glue in loose joints-- it has some helpful qualities. The cherry doors I am making today are assembled using titebond. Gorrilla glue is more suited for general construction-- things where a tight joint isn't required, or where it is hidden, or painted.
I rarely use dowels. The current doors have a slightly raised square peg @ each joint. I like this look!

The US was able to turn itself around from the last depression with a big war. Perhaps another war will make the economy run better again. I don't know who the US could fight though, Iraq was hard enough and Afghanistan is even tougher and all the bigger countries have nukes now so they are out of the question. Maybe Canada as they are close and have resources.

Of course Warren Buffett is going to say everything will be fine as his words carry a lot of weight with the American public. I'm just sure he is going to say "jump ship now while you still can". Watch what he does. Or at least what the super wealthy do to move their assets around. When they dump $ for commodities and gold as they are doing now then we KNOW the jig is up. Peace.

Someone earlier mentioned the mark of the beast. While I don't know exactly what that will be and how that will play out...think about this...It will be something that will not allow you to buy or sell unless you consent to it. I have a gut feeling that it will be something having to do with the workplace. Possibly some sort of ungodly action you must consent to in order to have and keep a job.

Any economy that is heavily invested in the dollar, or dependent on other nations that are, will be hit hard in the next phase of the collapse. This will be a global event, nowhere to run and hide, although self-sufficiency will soften the blow.

Basicly yes. The screws are falling out of the machine as we speak. How long will it last? I don't have a crystal ball but I'd be surprised if they can keep it together longer than 3-12 months.

Massive amounts of money is being printed to save the banks, but the banks don't lend it, so the domestic money supply (M1?) is contracting, ie. nobody has any money. Maybe the banks have been told not to lend the money in order to prevent hyperinflation. What do you think, MOT?
I believe there is a huge cash shortage. Unemployment U6 will reach 30% by Feb1. I believe there will be food shortages next year, oil prices will go down (less demand). Retail falls off a cliff.

Buffet is saying it will fall but trying to give confidence it will come back in 5 yrs.
That way people will think,, ok its bad but it will improve.

They are attempting to dump liquidity into the market to avoid a deflatoinary spiral. Once they see a recovery coming, they will then attempt to mop up all that money before it inflates out of control. BennyB *seems* to think he knows what he is doing - time will tell.
I think it will all crash down in October, but who knows what they can pull off. The market it up 13% this year while 1 in 5 are jobless or underemployed and 1 in 9 on food stamps - who knows what is possible.

Bernanke is definitely the fallguy puppet.I'm hoping for the Fed to quit printing $ and a market crash. Hopefully the dollar will survive.I think we will survive in a deflationary environment better than a hyperinflation one.Both scenario's are going to be brutal!!! The Govt should have given the bailout $ to the private sector, but why would they there crooks!

I agree with you, MOT. But then - over the course of my adult life, Warren Buffet has so far proven to be far superior to me at predicting, and preparing for, the future. :-P Anyway, in an environment where in the years ahead we will have tens of trillions of obligations coming due, during the midst of a never-ending war and an envirionmentaly crisis, I think it's risky to count on our ability to "pull out of it just like we always have".
