Sorry, that was a pretty obscure joke I think. Boys in the Band was a play (and then a movie) from the late 60s about a group of gay guys gathering for a friend's birthday. Melodramatic and depressing as all hell, let me tell ya! If you ever get a chance to see it, watch an upbeat Disney movie instead.
