Skillet is totally christian. There's no doubt about that. They actually rock harder than any secular bands that i know about. I'm christian and I'm proud about it.
music is inspiration... from ALL sources not just god... im an atheist but i still love skillet. Their songs inspire me in a different way than most because music has a million interpretations and that is what makes music beautiful

@jaden2455 I believe it came from before the 80s, when gang members, street thugs, drug dealers and the likes, said "fuck the world" in on offensive way, since the afore mentioned parties are violent and hating of others and the like. Drug Dealers are the people who cause that hating so, I'm guessing they also used it. Skillet is a Christian band that is meant for everyone, no matter what religion they are in. They make their lyrics so everyone can enjoy and relate, but they are deff not afraid to admit who they are, I can give you a video in pm of two videos, one John talking about the band, and the other John making a pledge on New Years Eve for 2010. Just so non Christians know this, I see no reason why we can't just all enjoy and be panheads together! ^_^

He says his music is not strictly for Christians, but that they are a Christian Band. Some of their songs, (like Older I Get) are not Christian Related, but other Christian Artists do the same thing. Christians have life experiences too. They are deff still Christian and I can show you a bunch of stuff to back it up.

Wut concert would that be? Becuz ive alrdy seen them twice (and im going to see them again here n a couple months =) ), and both times they were very open about their faith. I saw one of their own concerts too, where they headlined. It was their concert, and John Cooper spent a good at least 30 minutes, probly closer to 45 minutes Preaching. No, he wasnt just talking, this was Preaching. So, plz inform me wut concert this would be, becuz i cannot find evidence of that.

I just wanna say that you don't have to believe in god or anything to like the music. I personally don't believe in god myself but I really do like Skillet's music. When I listen to their songs I'm not thinking about god I'm thinking about how it relates to my life. Just like the music if you like it. You do NOT have to believe anything you don't want to. Its just MUSIC.

a lot of religions have a god, it's just the differences in worshiping, i am wiccan, i love skillet, and i have a god just my views and the way i worship him r different then Christians, they may just have a god, but i have a god and a goddess

And also, maybe you shouldn't say for non Christians to not listen to Christian Music.....Skillet actually wants non Christians listening to them. There is a fine line Christians need to abide by and not cross. We don't need to be yelling and saying "Jesus died for you so you wouldn't have to go to hell, but if you don't believe in him you will damned to torture in hell for eternity"...cause that's not what it's about. Skillet is a Christian band that is meant for everyone, no matter what religion they are in. They make their lyrics so everyone can enjoy and relate, but they are deff not afraid to admit who they are, I can give you a video in pm of two videos, one John talking about the band, and the other John making a pledge on New Years Eve for 2010. Just so non Christians know this, I see no reason why we can't just all enjoy and be panheads together! ^_^

@Kajukenbofreak96 One might think that if one was not a devoted Panhead. I only repeat what Ive heard from John's own lips(Main singer). He says his music is not strictly for Christians, but that they are a Christian Band. Some of their songs, (like Older I Get) are not Christian Related, but other Christian Artists do the same thing. Christians have life experiences too. They are deff still Christian and I can show you a bunch of stuff to back it up.

just to add my 2 cents(if it's even worth that) skillet has been quoted as saying they are a band that happens to be christian, and while that informs their lyrics, they want to reach a universal audience...sorta like mxpx, who once got cancelled for refusing to "witness" at a concert, and creed...and while I am a follower of Jesus, we are all brothers and sisters...Jesus was a jew after all and is a prophet of the muslim religion...that said, rock on skillet, my memphis homies!

Wut concert would that be? Becuz ive alrdy seen them twice (and im going to see them again here n a couple months =) ), and both times they were very open about their faith. I saw one of their own concerts too, where they headlined. It was their concert, and John Cooper spent a good at least 30 minutes, probly closer to 45 minutes Preaching. No, he wasnt just talking, this was Preaching. So, plz inform me wut concert this would be, becuz i cannot find evidence of that.

@eclairandlumiererock well, its definately not forbidden for you to listen. but i hope you also understand the true meaning of their lyrics and why they do what they do :) Fireflight and Seventh day slumber are also Christian singers, some who came from Christian familes some who were also atheists before and you should watch their testimonials on youtube :D

@eclairandlumiererock That's awesome that they reach everyone with their words. Their music is great, no doubt, but I would bet that what makes you love them is the lyrics. Knowing God gives an inside experience you can't get anywhere else, and it's really, really awesome.

@vamplover149 the only reason that i can find why we love is because it leads to reproduction of our race.. honestly i don't care if there will be a piece of my DNA still alive in 200 years time. and is hate not just the opposite of love->despising the hate and eventually the(material) love or of others. for as there would be no love there would be no hate and no urge to reproduce.The only way to go further on without hurting each other would be to wiping ourself out :) is that what god meant?
