@DaPeopleNext2U Battery acid isn't that powerful. There isn't any living ''legal'' acid that burns ''through'' the skin. There's only acid that burns the skin after a certain period of time when exposed to the skin.

@50cent5262 D volt batteries are bigger, so I went a notch smaller, C volt batteries.

Different brands and types (alkaline or carbon-zinc) will have different cells inside of them. The Energizer xxxx has 4 size F alkaline cells inside it. An F cell is close in diameter to a D cell only it's about 1-1/2 times the length. F cells are normal for carbon-zinc lantern batteries. Some alkaline ones have 4 D cells and filler in them.

I messed up a bit. The Energizer #529 is an alkaline cell type with 4 F cells.

hey if you ever do this again be careful. i didnt pay attention once at the label. it didnt say 0% mercury so i opened it and mercury poured out everywhere. im glad tp be alive and got none of it on me

because i hit one of the cells when i tried to pry the top open. even if it does say 0% mercury be careful you might get battery acid everywhere
