But only because it was early on Sunday morning and there were pretty much no lines.

As much as I love Finding Nemo, I probably wouldn't like this ride. The 20,000 Leagues ride used to freak me out when I was little. XD This would bring back memories. I'm gonna stick with the not-underwater version at Disney World. ^^;

Yes, but you're really not that deep. The bubbles you see in the porthole at the start of this video are generated by blasts of compressed air hidden in the sides of the submarine vehicle you're riding in, creating the illusion that you're diving fathoms under the ocean...very clever!!!

I wanna ride this new version, but I still miss the old classic one. It may have been boring and outdated to some, but it was always one of my favorites @ DL when I was a little kid. I loved that goofy looking sea serpent they had near the end of the ride, lol. Would've been neat if they added a giant octopus that grabs a hold of the sub and "shakes" it back & forth on this version, hehe :p

Hmm, I see that some of the old props from the original sub voyage ride are still there, like the "dive" effect w/ the air bubbles and the little bell that rings before the subs dive. One thing I noticed is that the "captain" now speaks w/ an Aussie accent :D BTW, does the "captain" still stand in the middle and pilot the sub, or is that different now?

Small World was created for the 1964 New York World's Fair, and the idea didn't come from Disney, he was just hired to make displays for other companies. Small World was commissioned by Pepsi, to symbolize world peace (it was the'60s, after all). The annoying song was written very quickly and the writers hated it (and still do) but they had no time to improve it, everything had to be finished. Now the question is: do freaky doll children make you want to drink a Pepsi?

:( The characters moving around were computer generated.. The scenery was real. The scuba diver, the big fish. Real. It was a really awesome ride. If you wait to go on it, which I did, 1 hour and 30 minutes. We had someone wait in line for us, so we rode like all the other rides. But I say, this ride is the BOMB. I live exactly 28 minutes away from Disneyland, and I go there every other weekend. And soon, we're going to stay at Disneyland for 8 days! :3

okay..this ride is not FULLY computer generated..i have been on the attraction over 5 times now and i have noticed many different things such as how the CG characters actually interact with the envirmonment (which looks amazing by the way). YouTube videos cannot show what this ride is like in real life..so if you havnt been on the attraction yet..i suggest you dont call it a "rip-off" or anything else that could make anybody else not love his wonderfully designed attraction.

is nemo and friends real animatronics? to me on the videos, it almost looks like computer animation on a screen behind glass to protect it from the water. if they are animatronics, i salute them, they have come along way in that field, but the way they moved, i've never seen animatronics move like that. compare with pirates of the caribbean ride. i've been to disneyland alot but not recently.
