That white mustang was, I think a Griggs modified Cobra R. And rumor is it was owned and driven by the VP of Compaq computers. I passed him in the braking zone at the end of the strait. Griggs cars can not trail brake so well. The trick, when their power is equal or more, is to stick the nose of your car into the inside of the braking zone. They usually either run off the track or have to slow down and you can take them on the inside. ;-)
I love this clip. I was thinking the same thing MustangAficionado, that white mustang needs to move outta the way. I'd like to see how long he was going to be patient before he "moves" him out of the way himself.
On my old silver notch I had a 3 link MM rear,MM torque arm, Hr springs, and MM lower control arms, It handled great and I would take turns so fast that one time it reset my fuel pump. It was always great and always made me feel confident with the car.
Anyone know how to make the plastic windows seen in these cars?

This appears to be the Mustang that MM owns.... Check out their website, there are a few pictures of it.

If you follow their recommendations Maximum Motorsports can make your mustang stick like glue.
It feel's like you're driving a race car. Their components and installation manuals are top notch.

Do a search for "mcroutcher"
You will see lap #1, click on it, then you can see the rest of the laps of this race, all 10, in the "Suggestions" area.
I don't know how to link to my youtube videos. I'm YouTube impaired.

sorry, I just checked this after some months.
You wouldn't believe the engine in it. Not much special. Only 320whp, actually in this video it only had 290whp. The car was 3180lbs with me in it.
This car had, and still has, off the shelf MM suspension parts.
The "TRICK" is suspension tuning! We would tune it for each track, and for each day. This video was shot in 2004! The car is MUCH faster now.

Private Coaching is $400 per day, + travel expenses. As many drivers per day are welcome to split the cost up if you wish. You must pay track fees.
(I've heard people charge up to $1200+ expenses per day for Private Coaching)

Buttonwillow raceway is my "home track".
I'm in San Luis Obispo. It's about 1.5 hours from here.
I've won on Buttonwillow, and Sears point.
I've also run the big track at Willowsprings.
