Instead of those silly fiddly curtain hooks, use a tent like system of 3 layers. Outer mosquito/bug mesh, clear window (as now) and a piece of tent material on the inside to act as a curtain. These could all drape over the 'balcony bar' that you already have in existence. See a coleman tent as sold in Japan - they are already doing this (not all have the clear window). Please, get rid of those silly curtain hooks. Even a bar hung from loops from the top is better!
