  • Aww, great stuff! I used to see Bob Catley in Hamlet's Tamworth on the odd occasion. Such an unassuming guy. None of that "I'm a rock singer" bullshit. Top band, too! One of the girls who worked behind the bar had a massive crush on Bob, and went to every gig. :-)

  • I love first 3-4 Magnum albums/ I totally hate from '85 to '90 Magnum albums / I like nowdays Magnum albums...'Kingdom of Madness' will remain their best album...not just poor Aor but Melodic Progressive hard rock at his best...Hope I will see them one day...

  • one of my fav Magnum tracks

  • stunning, one of my fave Magnum songs...

  • Greatest band ever been on this planet!

  • the lead singer is my cousins girlfriends dad

  • I remember seeing these at the apollo in manchester.. good stuff.. Thanks for posting and bringing back good memories. Cheers... :)

  • still have the spirit....

  • Magnum rules!

  • Magnum = The BEST music band but so dreadfully underrated ... Shame .. They have always been faithful to their fans

  • Saw them last night at rock city Nottingham.still a great band ,the audience were like me the wrong side of forty ,so not much crowd surfing but a great night!!!!!!!!!

  • not a great perfomance in oxford

  • Cannot wait til next Saturday! Seeing them in Wolves... gonna rule!

  • hahahaha my dad told me to watch this lol

  • i love seeing this song perfomed live. great stuff!

  • do you think they will let me in if i am 1 week short of being 14 which is the age you have to be at rock city

  • will see them next week, is going to be awesome :D

  • Les Morts Dansant live 1991 //

  • Geiler Sound! Am 26.3. in Winterbach.

  • proper Magnum...not liking the newer stuff unfortunately (((

  • @slayterise The latest is very reminiscent of Kingdom Of Madness/Magnum II era stuff...

Not too shabby to be honest, not quite Chase The Dragon, but better than anything else out there at the moment.

  • just love this band ;-)

  • I hope the DVD is available in Hong Kong.

  • Takes me back to when I saw them supporting def leppard in the early eighties.still an excellent band.wish I could still head bang to it but unfortunately I look like Tony clarkin does now.

  • Music by mongs, for mongs.

    Peace out mongs.

  • they must have a shit management team they should be massive

  • @kevseabass Awful record label. Were managed by Polydor in the mid 80's, hired top profile songwriters to work with Tony Clarkin for the album Goodnight L.A in 1990, was to be their big break in America... but never even got released over there due to Polydor problems. So Magnum bought themselves out of their contract because Polydor tried to make them something they were not.

Phenomenal band. New album The Visitation comes out next month!!!

  • This is AMAZING!

  • cheers from greece..this is simplyt the art of rock!!!!! they dont belong to any category..is just MAGNUM..one band, one genre..

  • EPIC!!!

  • is this christian rock or something?

  • @ddddaaaavvvv lol NO! its melodic-hardrock as it says above!

  • @ddddaaaavvvv Christian rock? Far from it, mate. Magnum are a band that are so diverse, you couldn't possibly define the genre. Hard rock, soft rock, rock art, prog rock, they are all of those genre's fused into one energetic, bombastic sound!

  • Fantastic live performance, very professional, such an underrated band, yet so much musical talent.. can't wait to see them again next year.

  • Great band

  • what a great song been a fan for yrs

  • TUFF RIFF!!!!!!

  • im a big fan from germany !

  • Got most of their albums. Bob is a very down to earth guy and you can often meet him in the local pub and have a beer with him. Cheers guys, keep up the good work !

  • Bob Catley är grymm för o inte tala om inhoppen på Avantasia platterna :)

  • one of the greatests bands of the world...great musicians and bob...just briliant!!! come to greece, pleeeeeease...

  • BRILL BAND SEEN them in bolton what a night

  • This is definitely one of the best bands ever. I just wish I was younger back in the 80s when this kind of music was on the spree.

  • @Cvet0 I was young back in the 80s and wish I were younger now :-), Magnum are with out question the most under rated band of all time... seen them scores of times, never disapponted , Bob's voice maybe lacks the bounce of youth, but age comes to us all....they are a truly great band.....by bro worked as a roadie at Wolves civic for a time with them....top guys too.....

  • these guys were waaaaaaay b4 my time and im only 19 XD wish i could have seen em live was brought up by these thanks to my mother and lemme tell you what a band to be brought up with

  • they finished with this song last time i saw them in Liverpool in 2009. hard to believe its 31 years old!! still sounds awesome

  • Tremendous stuff!

  • This sounds DAMN good...I saw them once in London...just about this time....

  • That song kicks arse! What an increadable song.

I grew up following these. And this is the first I've heard of them in years.

  • I was at this gig at the Astoria, was one truly awesome night. Magnum rules !!!!!

  • what a band! lost count how many times saw them in 80s, love em!!

  • Same here!

  • Awesome!!

why wasn't this band really big?, no justice in this world...no radio plays..?

No rock radio stations in UK... ...

  • Barry James on Radio Caroline plays a fair bit of Magnum on Friday mornings. He has a great rock show, Magnum, Runrig, Thunder, King Crimson, Dare, The Storys and many more decent Brit bands. Bob Catley, My America was on today, just fab..Barry dedicated the song to me, i was really suprised. I emailed him about some other music, yet he played this for me. I found Magnum because of Barry.. so a big thanks to him.

  • Barry James on Radio Caroline plays a fair bit of Magnum. He totally supports home grown bands, and plays the likes of, Runrig, Thunder, Dare, The Storys, King Crimson and many other great Brit bands. He played Bob Catley....My America , today on his Friday show. He dedicated it to me, i was really suprised as i emailed him about some other music, so it was really nice of him. I found Magnum because of Barry's show, so check him out, he plays great music. Fab Music Guys. x

  • Caught this song by fluke in a compilation of songs when i was studying at the university of Birmingham circa early 80. Great song and happy that this song is now on youtube.

  • Bob is a great guy. When I was 19 in 1986 Magnum came to Belfast. I met him and the band the morning of the gig and spent the rest of the day with him. I even persuaded him to buy Metallica's Master of Puppets, which was not long released . Happy memory :)

  • i went out with 1 of bob catleys daughters robyn :) was a fear years ago now like hehe. lovely family they are, bob is such a nice guy :) great band too.

  • Great song !!!

  • What a band...always been into much heavier stuff went to see these guys yonks ago and was blown away..so good live catley has such a good voice....quality.

  • Great Band but i hope that they change the drummer very soon!!!!

  • Harry James, from Thunder, who played on the Brand New Morning album will drum on the new tour.

But what is wrong with Jimmy Copley? He is amazing. He has played with Jeff Beck, Status Quo, Paul Rodgers, Tony Iommi, Gleen Hughes, Seal, Ian Gillan... etc.

One of rock's absolute best drummers.

  • I don' like JC fortunately they've change it

    Micky Barker Rules!!!!!

  • Did he play with Quo?

  • Only drummer they should have should be Mickey Barker

  • get a ticket to see them at liverpool academy in october son and i'll buy you a beer..... fucking awsome live..... it'll be the 23rd time ive seen them..... bob catley might be a short arsed little fucker but god is he a great front man!!!!! keep your night light burning

  • this is EPIC

    I love this stuff!!!!

  • my first ever rock concert I went to see was def leppard and the support group was a relatively unknown Magnum...they got 3 encores and when def leppard came out on stage it was a full 5 mins into their set before people stopped shouting out for Magnum it was an amazing atmosphere and I remember it like it was yesterday rather than the thirty something years ago it actually was....happy days

  • love this song from my teenage years, but thought Kerry King was guesting there for a minute!

  • Magnum are legends! Had the great privilege of meeting Mr Catley on his solo tour in 2000 on the "Legends" album..my friends were his backing band... all across europe and the UK..was awesome time..and hes a really nice guy too!

  • "take your hands away from me, leave my eyes so I can see" I've loved this band since the first time I heard them.
