  • Is this recycle or trash collecting?

  • We used the short pawnee products carts at potmac disposal and it seemed that people thought they held less and were being cheated. Same gallonage though...

  • ware iz diz at? iz it n flawda?

  • @MrGunSlanga You've got it. In the middle of Brevard County east of the Orlando area near the coast.

  • What was that @ 4:03?

  • @picklesrule69 I believe that was part of a kitchen cabinet. (Sorry for the slow response).

  • Nice video the" shopping carts" are amerikarts industrial ploy cart model

  • Thanks for the info, I was thinking they were one of those models, but I didn't know for sure which company made them.

  • Yep no prob the reasin they phased them out there most likely was because they are overpriced I wanted to order one 130 for the cart plus 45 shipping

  • Nice vid .enjoyed watching it

  • Thank you for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the vid.

  • its rare to see 2 guys on the step in my area

  • Yeah it's not very common, but Rockledge runs almost all 3 crew trucks - even on recycling trucks.

  • oh ok

  • IDK if you or Youtube deleted my comment or I didn't even make one here @ all. This is still my favorite Rockledge video. I like Pak-Mor RLs because the word "Pak" in "Pak-Mor" is my last name LOL.

  • LOL well... from what I see, your comment is still here... I'm guessing YouTube is screwing with the comments again. BTW I rarely delete comments - and if I delete a comment (usually it's spam).... I always block the person too.

Glad you are still enjoying the vid! Thanks!

  • Yep. And my favorite carts are the Ameri-Kart Poly Carts and the flat lid Rehrigs. I only like the "Bump" lid on the fully automated model. Flat lid on the metal, plastic, and no bar models LOL.

  • Since I see that you look at this video regularly, I just went through all my Rockledge pics and added all the pics of this exact truck to the description.

  • we have a few Pak-mor rear loaders in my city most of the fleets is Mcneilus on a freightliner extended cab

  • Interesting, like a Freightliner M2 extended cab? (that's the newer looking one with a nose - like the First Gear model)

  • they are really nice trucks

  • I've always loved the Pak-Mor RLs with those exterior packing cylinders. This truck has a nice whine to it as well. Good stuff!

  • Thanks! I didn't ever see many of these prior to moving into this area. When I worked at AAA Trash, they had 1 but it was totaled. The entire fleet for the city of Rockledge are Pak-Mor's.

  • gotta love those pakmors. not a lot of them here on YT... with a pack cycle at least LOL

  • Thanks, glad you liked it! I was lucky to find this one, I wasn't expecting to see them, and went into that area on a whim... I liked seeing those weird carts they were dumping, don't see that very often with a rear loader on YT.

  • great to see A pak-mor in action. i call the one carts cadumpsters, b-cause they hALF cart half dumpster

  • LOL nice name for them! Thanks for watching, btw lawnboy1010 just caught a little Pak-Mor action in VA today. It's a Va Beach public works truck collecting yard waste.

  • Great job! It looks like there are a lot of new Rehrig carts, when I was last there they were just starting to appear. I know that Rockledge was buying poly carts until around 2006. The one that my grandparents had was very old, light green rather than dark green like the others. It was actually marked as a "Hobo", still haven't figured that one out, wish I had pics...

  • Don't think I've seen any of those light green carts, but if I do, I'll try to get a pic of one, depending on where it is. This was another lucky find, I just wandered into a random neighborhood and hoped for the best... if I wouldn't have seen the tire tracks on the ground, I would have left the neighborhood without knowing how close I was to the truck. Really glad you enjoyed the footage! I've been wanting to get a good action shot of them for a while!

  • nice truck!! Great job!!

  • Thank you very much!

  • I enjoy seeing RLs collect carts & bulky trash in action! I think those cartippers are made by Perkins! Btw, love Pakmor body & that Sterling chassis it's sitting on with pusher drop axle! Truck is definately using Cat 3206 diesel! I can tell by the whine as truck takes off at every stop!!! I like how you filmed this RL in action with this driving shot! I'm impressed! Awesome Catch & 5 Stars!

  • Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You definitely know your engines... I'll have to take your word for it. For the vid, I just stuck the camera out the window, because I wanted the sounds to be picked up by the camera. Worked out really really well. I was a little worried about the wind noise, but it wasn't to breezy that day, and I didn't have to drive very fast, so it worked out.

  • Is this garbage or recyclable material?

  • The material being collected is garbage. The city of Rockledge also collects yard waste (bundled/bagged) with similar rear loaders and recyclables (from small bins) with old recycling trucks. If you are interested in seeing those recycling trucks, I posted it as a video response. The city also collects most, if not all, commercial accounts within the city limits using rear load dumpsters. The commercial RL's have white cabs instead of the green seen here & can also be seen in the video response.

  • Fantastic video Alan! You've gotten so many drive-bys of this truck and you finally got a massive video of one of them in action, congrats! :) Got a real loud, piercing sound to that engine... hard to mistake it as something other than a garbage truck at 6am! lol I see that they tried to get as much in the hopper as possible before a cycle, pretty slow packer operation - noticed the pakmors don't exactly fly! Also what's with the cart tippers?! - especially dropping that first cart and at 5:11

  • Thanks! I've never seen that style of tipper anywhere but Rockledge. I was looking at that cart at 5:11... I couldn't see the catch bar on it very well... but sometimes when that bar is bent, the cart will pop off like that. I got hit in the face once because of a Rehrig with the same problem - the cart popped off when I shook it with the tipper and when it flew off it hit my face on it's way to the street.

  • Awesome post! They work together really well! Loved this PakMor's scream, sounds identical to arkansastrash's RL! Enjoyed it very much--Definite 5 stars and fav!

  • Thank you for the stars and fav!!!! Glad you liked seeing this!

  • did you hold on to the camera while driving?

  • lol, was it that obvious? I know... bad.. bad... bad... but the neighborhood was quiet and no one was really out. :D

  • LOL you are very very bad
