  • Amazing these u people still r missing it. The american trucks are designed by the japs, vvti honda the hemi , german , dynamic breaking bmw , new 1500 all have toyota's front end the duramax deisel isuzu need I go on

  • The set was built using super duty's

  • theres one reason why the other trucks cant do this turn radius. tundra has the best turn radius and it is right on the edge so i dont see any other trucks doing this, and all the other truck companies use special effects in there commericals and admit to it.. the tundra videos use no special effects

  • now back it down

  • American made companys are to busy building a truck to do this crap

  • @behumbletommy is it that their too busy or that their trucks cant handle similar challenges?

  • NOW THAT A KILLER HEAT BUT FOR THE T U N D R A

  • 285 degrees??? for a fire, that's nothing.

  • Awsome

  • what is the point? why would anyone drive a truck up a fiery roller coaster?

  • @kvoncomedy they're trying to say its tough and can handle all conditions

  • @kvoncomedy dude are u that blind?? they are testing it in the real world, if you can drive up in a big hill and if the driver has confidence in his truck. This shows that the driver had confidence in his toyota tundra, had the durability, the quality, and the power to push the trailer up without any hassle.

  • wtf is the point of this? and why couldnt a ford or a dodge or chevy do it to?

  • @broncoxl302 becaue those trucks suck i mean there crappy american cars.....they would break down before it got on the structure....

  • @14chaychay if thats what you think lol. my buddy had a tundra and the tranny went up under 50,000 miles. i got a f-250 and a bronco with over 150,000. the 250 has 200,000 everything is original and fine. but its all opinion. buy what you want its just you toyota people that get all offensive.

  • @broncoxl302 cos its a Toyota ad

  • @broncoxl302 why wouldn't they do it?

  • rlly? not even a rail? EPIC FAIL

  • Do they back it back down?

  • @yogifoot we had to unhook the trailer from the truck first. Then we secured the trailer with cables and had the crane pick up the trailer and bring it down. Then the stunt driver would back the truck all the way down to the bottom. He had to do it 20 or 25 times over the course of the shoot. ^DG

  • @ToyotaUSA wouldn't it had made more sense and be safer to hook the truck and bring it down with a crane too?

  • FAKE!

  • @tPACoO its not fake dude. my dad was the driver

  • @TheMudHole "When it comes to making money on the open road you need American Steel."

Then why do you drive a Dodge? Made in Mexico buddy or did you forget that?

  • All you dummies who say that they're made in america blah blah blah, yeah they're made in america so that the cost of import is cheap, they're manufactured in america, but all the engineering and design plans have japan written all over it.

  • Everyone who owns a Tundra also owns BMW'S and Mercedes. They use the Tundra as a "Hey look I'm not a snobby goofball" to muscle up their image. I haul 10 to 15K pound trailers cross country with my Dodge 2500 Cummins. Got 250k miles and still hauling strong. The Tundra would probably have blown up the way I drive with the peddle on the floor climbing mountain roads with 10K pounds at 70mph. When it comes to making money on the open road you need American Steel.

  • @TheMudHole i saw a Dodge 3500 turbo deisel towing a 17 foot boat and it was at ~5000 rpm struggling to get up to 40mph

all im saying is that that guy is paying more gas than ppl with tundras

  • Everyone who

  • Toyota knows as much about building a truck as Chevy knows about building a car.

  • Comment removed

  • @abcdmercedes I guess that means Toyota knows a lot.

  • "i smell plastic. it's starting to melt back here..." lol. all that steel could've gone into making the frame stronger... lol matt mcbride is more amazing in this video than the truck

  • "i smell plastic. it's starting to melt back here..." lol. all that steel could've gone into making the frame stronger... lol

  • "i smell plastic. it's starting to melt back here..." lol

  • arnt most cars that overheat old and not brand new?

  • AAHHHH 3:18

  • @amirrozlan

    got that right!!! holy shnikies!!

  • mighty Tundra

  • i have one tundra and i am very happy !!

  • last tundra model ever built in indiana at TMMI

  • lol. Thanks for the comment ^_^ Following a truck blog is always entertaining. It's amazing of how people get so hyped up about their trucks.

  • its hard to avert away from glourious FORD! but really people open your eyes and be understanding that these new tundras are starting to make something pretty amazing of themselves. and they are actually stacking up against older truck makers like ford and chevy and dodge. They arent bad because the company is reletivly new at trucks and happens to make the prius.

  • big three fact: most of their trucks are not assembled in america. so were basically buying a truck thats assembled by forigners. not us americans.

toyota fact: their newer trucks are assembled in america.

  • @JcmMagNoo i think you need to check you facts. f-150 and silverado have the highest % of American made parts at 90%, dodge i think at 75%, and tundra at 75%. also silverado has 6 assembly plants in USA 1 in Mexico and 1in Canada. Ford and GM each individually employ more Americans than ALL foreign car companies combined.

  • @hunter32205 that was 6 months ago finally i get to work on ford trucks for fun ^^ torture test!!!

  • @hunter32205 You should check the facts, Tundra has 80% American made parts, Ford and Chevy are both at 75%. And every single Tundra is made in San Antonio, Texas (Almost every Tacoma is made at that same plant in San Antonio.)

  • The set was assembled using ford trucks, not toys.

  • You mean scrap metal (Ford), rust metal (Chevy), and junkyard (Dodge) ? sounds about right

  • I just love how you rednecks argue about trucks on a blog. It's rather amusing.

  • "If you're only looking at domestic-sourced parts content, the F-150 doesn't even make the top 10 list of vehicles. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Toyota Tundra has the highest U.S. parts content of any pickup, at 80 percent

  • hmm, the tundra recieved a 4 star rating vs ford's 5 star..

  • could somebody please tell me why all these toyota haters are even looking at toyota videos

  • maybe we wanted to see what stupid misleading commercial they were making?

  • @rosefarts criticism. everyone, or even everything goes through it.

  • A total waste of time and money..

  • Tundra Working Through The Heat,

    What A Truck.

American Trucks *The Big Three* Are Built In Mexico,

The Tundra Was Built In America.

So Tell Me Now, The Big Three Or The Tundra More American?

  • Toyota is japanese, big 3 are american. More of the money goes back to the actual company rather than the plant, so if u think the tundra is more american, ur just supporting other plants that are in japan. If u buy from the big 3, the money goes back to the american headquarters and keeps other american plants open.

  • We Live In This World Together In Peace,

What's Wrong If I Buy Toyota?

    We Bombed The Japanese Twice,

What's Wrong If I Help Them Out?

They Giving Us Jobs When The Big Three Just Laying Off People And Cutting Hours And So On...

  • They are giving us jobs because people are buying toyota instead of american so then they have to cut things. But still there are more plants in the u.s from the big 3 than toyota so they are still giving out money to more americans.

  • I Need The Power,

I Need The Reliability, And The Tundra Offers Me That.

They Gave Me What I Want In A Truck That's Why I Bought One.

But Don't Get My Wrong I Love The Three Muscle Cars

  • Well for your next truck you should check out the 2010 f150, it will have more hp and more torque than the 5.7l engine in the tundra.

  • 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Is A Beast.

  • torture test!!!!

  • @expertpkedu lol...no...it's not

  • @HFCHSvids if that makes you happy

  • @gunzkevin yeah power and torque are one thing...but i want durability...i want the tundra

  • How do you like the truck? Just curious.

  • who are the big three your talking about in your coment and why are you reading my comment and watching this video in the first place?

  • Stupid test waste of money, Climbing a spiral tower in 1st gear all they way?

I wanna see the truck on a steep grade on the high way in 120 degree heat jumping in and out of over drive towing 10,000 lbs, you know stuff people might actually do with the truck??!!

  • @ImDanimal85

1.) they were on a steep grade

2.) the heat was more than twice as hot as 120 degrees

3.) they were towing 10,000 lbs

4.) the tundra doesn't go into over drive when hauling loads because it has a tow haul switch.

  • The only thing they are testing here is the radiator and the oil cooler. All the half ton trucks radiators are approx. same size and so are the oil coolers. Lets just say if the Tundra can make it up there with 10k I think my Dakota could make it up there with 10k and 210k+ miles on the tranny.

  • @Spywell and the transmission.

  • Nobody is setting in an oven, it's 300 degrees with open air for 30 seconds. I assume the air conditioner works. If it gets over 100 degrees in the cab I would be surprised, and that is about the same heat that the nascar guys put up with in a regular race.

BTW the crane in the video lifts the truck down. LOL

Still a lot of money spent for commercial that is a joke. I bet a gm, ford, or dodge couldn't do that. LOL

  • @duramaxtothemax no the crane doesn't lift the truck. Matt McBride(my dad) backed it down every time.

  • how in the hell do you get it down?!?!?! i couldn't imagine backing all the way down...

  • parachute!!!

  • You got the point, TOYOTA all the way, to the hell with does haters

  • They f150 can tow more than the tundra and haul more than the tundra. I dont understand when people buy japanese cars when they live in the us and there are same quality vehicles being produced by americans... its just giving japan more money and taking jobs away from americans. Its just ridiculous. Makes me very mad actually.

  • It's pretty funny you say buying a Tundra is taking jobs away from Americans. These Tundras are made at the new Toyota truck plant in San Antonio which provides more jobs to Americans. Ironically, this Japanese car is as American as any domestic truck. Do a little bit of research before you post your thoughts so you can have some credibility and not come off as ignorant.

  • I knew it was built in the US, but although it may employ ppl at that plant, all of toyota's plants in the us cant add up to all the big 3 plants in the us. So if ppl buy this truck and make one of the big 3 go bankrupt, they will lose more jobs than that one plant can supply.

  • I think you're correct that all of the Toyota plants employ less than Big Three combined, but, do you realize your comparing one company versus three? I believe Toyota has 11 plants in the US, thousands of dealers, a US headquarters, and they work with a lot of US suppliers. They build good cars, sell a lot of them, and provide thousands and thousands jobs to Americans, so why do you hate them so much?

  • i agree w/ u my friend...

  • Thank you gunz!!!

  • The facts is some amazing construction and safety testing measures before entering commercial. Scary to me! I have a '05 Tundra.

  • It a joke any truck can stand 200+ degree heat for 30 seconds. As the truck never gets heat soaked. Air is a very poor conductor of heat so therefore even though it's hot, it doesn't easily make other things hot. Example put your hand in a 300 degree oven, and then put your hand in 214 degree put of boiling water and tell me which one is hotter.

  • it was around 300 degrees pulling 10,000lbs trailer up an incline and no signs of heating up, i'd say thats pretty damn impressive.

How about you go sit in a 300 degree oven with the door closed and all of a sudden a minute is eternity.

  • Being 24 is not a reason to stop arguing. Being wrong is. Therefore, you should stop making yourself look dumber than you already have.

  • So now your age is an excuse for your ignorance? I'm glad that you at least recognize your lack of intellect.

  • haha how it reacts to heat?? I could drive a mini van through that and it would make it. What this commercial is really showing you is how to waste money on shitty advertising and draw in helpless blind customers who will believe this crap. Congrats toyota for coming up with yet another stupid commercial that explains nothing. Lets use a deep voice and some pyro effects on a steel mountain of hell to sell our truck to morons YAY!!!!! What a load of trash. I feel sorry for you.

  • I think you drank a galon of hatetorade. I]Don't be a hater

  • @BassPro1688 dude you are a dumb ass. the commercial is 100% and so is all the other ones for this truck. And no a mini wouldn't make it up towing 10000 pounds.

  • Yes Toyota and many other companies do rely on American auto industries here in America. And GM was the nations leader in sales, the only reason they arent now is becuase of the struggling economy. Once the economy is back on track- GM WILL resurface as the number 1 company in the world. And yes its an un realistic commercial. You let me know the next time you drive up a spiral mountain and fire blasts out at you...get back to me when that happens, thanks. And i doubt YOU personally own 5 toyotas

  • You do remember that toyota is from japan and japan is a socialist country. Even if gm fails honda and toyota will be in bad shape but....the country wil not let it fail. Relearn economics. its funny that u hvae basspro as your user name when toyota sponsor them. GM wil never be number one again. the only american company i see comming back up is ford. not gm. i hate ford and i will say they are making amazing products.

  • Their reliability has nothing to do with the bailout. Ford has enough money to go through 09 with, they dont need money. And if the Big 3 fail, toyota fails with them. As much as you hate to admit it, toyota relies on American car companies. Also i have seen more American trucks with over 500,000 on them than i have seen toyotas. Your comments are reassuring me that you know nothing about trucks you just think toyota is great becuase of some over hyped unrealistic commercial. Do you even own one?

  • The reason why gm and ford are in the shape they are is because they let unions toy with them and in return they put out horrible quality products. Thats the reason why gm is failing. Gm products have never been on par with imports until they realize that they were going to fail. reliability was horrible everything was horrible. i don't even know how many times my buddies 01 explorer broke down with only 70k on it. My pathfinder has 110k on it already and i havn yet to the ses light come on.

  • and you are a 17 year old girl..How much do you even know about trucks? I work with trucks almost every day. I inspect them for safety lanes and do fleet inspections. I think i am going to know a little bit more about how a truck is built and how it is going to handle under loads. Trust me on this one, the tundra is nothing but a modified car with a big engine. If you want towing, hauling, strength you will buy a Big 3 truck. If you want something to haul around groceries at 200mph buy a tundra.

  • look up more videos about the tundra vs american?? HAHAHA. Trust me iv seen every video and i havent found one yet that shows the tundra outdoing ANY Big 3 truck. maybe you should watch more videos..and i watched this video becuase I can, and its funny to watch how stupid these commercials are. When the hell is any truck driver going to drive a truck up a spiral mountain with fire blowing out of it? What a waste of money. they should maybe invest into something that makes sense.

  • Why is this country pathetic? If you think that why dont you go try and live in japan. Our economy is the backbone to all other economies. if ours fails, the world economy fails. And i believe it is designed by Americans too- in California is the Tundra design plant...so yea. And the tundras performance doesnt beat American trucks. American trucks out tow, our haul and have a much tougher frame to them. The only think the tundra has is hp..if you want hp buy a muscle car not a truck.

  • i was on this set

  • So your saying that since Americans build the tundra here in America its a junk too right? And i will drive an American truck becuase i am an American, i love this country, the history of this country and i support this country. Japanese trucks do not compare to American trucks on performance, towing, hauling, safety or mpg. Not to bash the tundra even more, but the Nissan Titan is a better truck than the tundra haha. For me i will stick to the Big 3 thanks you very much.

  • They made a really good effort to keep the Ford F250's out of the commercial, well done Toyota.

  • bahahah i remember when you could see the Fords in the background of the older commercials that was helarious. They finally wised up and made sure they didnt film near the Fords that help build this rediculous piece of crap they call a commercial.

  • all their efforts for just a 31 second ad... :D

  • nice

  • omg i love these kinds of commercials, insanely awesome

  • Insane, I just wonder how he gets back down!

  • I worked on the commercial, and when he got to the top they used a crane to lift off the trailer. Then the stunt driver BACKED the truck down the ramp! That driver has some "mad skills".

  • whoa seriously? deff "mad skills" haha

  • YEAH...You ought to see him ride a motorcycle...poetry in motion I say...poetry in motion!

    :D

  • ohhh that was awesome
