  • This guys is annoying

  • @censortube09 haha you're an idiot.

  • He must work for FOX NEWS

seeing how some of his information was incorrect!

  • What an ugly car, will you americans ever learn?

  • @censortube09 Will you get off this AMERICAN website!

  • @nashville1510 What has youtube got to do with ugly american cars? Oh wait, you're 18yrs old and american... I suggest you keep it to 'loving your man' and stop the silly comments.

  • @censortube09 Don't get on here talking shit bout what we do.

    Jealous

  • FUCK SMALL CARS ! I WANT BIGGER CARS ! THESE CARS ARE FOR RICH PEOPLE , SO MAKE BIG POWERFULLS CARS ! I WANT A BIGGER ESCALADE AND MORE LUXURYOUS ! FUCK PEOPLE WHO WANT'S SMALLER CARS !

  • Mercedes-Benz S Class vs Cadillac XTS :) who wins ?

  • i need new pants.

  • It has been rumored that the XTS will replace the DTS but by no means should GM make the mistake of killing off the DTS nameplate as it is the only thing left of Cadillac's longest production marque the DeVille and one of the few remaining ties to their heritage. The DeVille (DTS) should be updated to true Art + Science stature (no longer a car for pensioners) and turned into an apt competitor for the A8, 7 Series, S Class and Lexus LS. The DeVille name is American legend and deserves to live on!

  • Caddy can't forget the V8

  • This vid bring up some interesting points about the rear overhang and "big car on a too small platform." I'd LOVE to own a Caddy that competes with the Benz s-class, but Cadillac needs to spend a little more time at the drawing board for this xts.

  • @prettyboy1970, the rear overhang is pretty shitty, as is FWD. This should be a RWD or AWD car with the NON-hybrid v6 standard, and a v8 option, much like the options you have from BMW or Mercedes. Nobody buys a LUXURY car for some crappy, hybrid engine with high maintenance. We want a smooth riding v8!

The interior is every bit as good or better than anything BMW or Mercedes has ever done, but the exterior is inferior to the CTS/STS and this car needs to compete performance wise too.

  • If Cadillac has any BALLS they will build it the same size as the concept car and make it look just as agressive

  • I THINK cadillac will make xts-v to compete vs MB s65 amg class and BMW 760...... im sure the xts-v will be v8 with bigger superchagrge to produce same output of corvette ZR1....GO cadillac and do it

  • I hope Cadillac pushes the hybrid as the top of the line model: High Tech meets High Luxury and fashion.

  • I think he was talking about the show girl's rear bumper lmao

  • If Mr. Dushane had bothered to read the press release or speak with any Cadillac people before he started talking, he would know that this car will NOT be built on the same platform as the Mailbu. The platform is a stretched and widened one so his "big car on a small car" comment is simply incorrect. So much for journalism. I think the sweeping rear quarters make this one of the most beautiful cars around. This is where the batteries are kept as to not intrude on the cabin.

  • Couldn't have said it better. Thanks nordenfan!

  • If Cadillac has any BALLS, they will put the 6.2L gas engine in this big sedan that puts of 403 horse-power+ and mate it to a 6-speed transmission. If they're truly serious about hanging with the big imports, this is what they need to do. Piss on MPG.....you spend 50K+ on a BIG luxury car, you can afford trips to the gas station 6 and 7 times a month. Please GM....make this a real man's car that can knock the Germans and the Japs into the fucking weeds.

  • I agree, a v8, 10, or 12 would be a perfect option. I remember watching a video where they discussed that doing so would only satisfy a small percentage of their market. I say, just have the option available.

  • @CadillacXTS Yeah, hopefully GM will eventually offer a super high performance version of this car. What is frustrating is that Cadillac has already proved it can build a world-class small car with the CTS. On a positive note, I think the styling is magnificent on this XTS, inside and out.

  • @colderbeer the 2010 Cadillac CTS-V has a 4.2l 556 horsepower supercharched engine.........duh.

  • @colderbeer Amen

  • @colderbeer I couldn't agree more. I did hear on some Cadillac press release that they are planning to eventually make V and Platinum trim levels for all Cadillac models. So hopefully, in the not too far future, the XTS-V will be one bad mofo.

  • i Agree with some of the comments , Why are they using a front wheel drive based drive train , even if it is awd , it is primarily fwd . They shot them selves in the foot right out the box. Either spend the time developing a new chassis or use and modify the sts platform , don't screw up all the success you have had i the past 5 years

  • Great point Pauliepsi, my gosh....what is Cadillac so afraid of with RWD? The CTS is real-wheel drive, and it's been a big hit! This car should have been RWD FIRST.....mated to AWD for those concerned about driving in the snow.

  • it looks like kind of like cadillac sixteen

  • it does

  • Ok first off i would like to say this car is absolutely gorgeous i think Cadillac is doing a phenomenal job on all their new models, the interior of this car just blew my mind i would like to see a LEXUS compete with that.. and i do not understand why people are continuing to say that this is a " malibu" the malibu doesnt come remotely close to this car!!! and fyi this is an AWD!

  • I wonder if the presenter knows anything about engineering? First I'm sure the platforms are similar, but drive a CTS-V and a Camaro, and try saying they're the same. Both are based off the same platform, but are very different in design. Saying this car is "too:" anything shows a unprofessional bias. Has the XTS been officially built and tested by CarandDriver?

  • and i think eventually theyll probably make a performance version that uses V8 with 400+ hp and they are AWD just like audis

  • its super-epison II platform with AWD and hypbrid V6 engine that gives 360hp

  • this is ridiculous. a chevy malibu hybrid as the cadillac flagship? this is supposed to compete with the likes of the bmw 7 series and mercedes s-class? are they mad?! they had a perfectly good rear wheel drive platform to use, why didn't they?!

  • ...Oh, and the comment about the rear overhang being so long. I dont hear any complaints about the new Jaguar XJ's rear overhang. This and the Jag's look no different from each other.

  • Here goes Car and Driver again. Where do they get their sh*t from? I dont even know why I clicked on this video. The man didnt know what the hell he was talking about. This vehicle is as close to the production model as the Provoq concept was to the SRX. Meaning, its dead-on. Malibu isnt on this platform. Its on Epsilon. Lacrosse is on Epsilon II and this vehicle is on the Super Epsilon II platform. Which it might only share with the next Impala. Dumb*ss' @ Car and Driver cant report anything.

  • You tell em!! Why couldn't they get it right, and do a little research?

How do you like the CTS-V coupe you've been waiting for?

  • @RODikUlus: Ahhh!!! Its a breath of fresh air! :D Especially when I saw it in that nature/disaster video! Know which one Im talking about? The one where its doing doughnuts and stuff?! How did u remember I said that! lol

  • I love this car! My fave used to be the BMW 7 series, then the Jaguar XJ, then the Audi A8, then this one... Man they just keep getting better and better, I just don't know which one i like most anymore...

  • Each one worse than the previous ... you're going the wrong direction buddy.

  • Optimism is fun, isn't it?

  • The rear overhang is no longer than it is on the Statesman. Anyway, as far as styling goes, long rear overhang > front overhang.

  • Love the interior and the looks all the way to the A pillar, but seriously does GM expect the chevy malibu FWD platform to compete with A8, 7 Series, S Klasse and the Lexus LS ?

Bankruptcy hasn't really taught them much please take a cue from VW how this brand and platform juggling is done.

  • That looks cool. The interior is gorgeous.

  • Very nice...great job on styling GM is really starting to reform its design and quality i am proud! I can finally start to argue back about their cars "having too much plastic in the interior" which is pretty true for some still.

  • I cant wait for the XTS V!!!

  • the xts is AWD, do all of you morons pay any attention at all?
