The afternoon schedule in the 70's on WJR included J P MacCarthy's Focus (he took over), Karl Haas, and Mike Whorf.
Cavanaugh later got a divorce and died of a heart attack. Was considered at that time (1966) one of the up-and-coming national Democratic politicians.
Great post. These three videos are by "Jam Handy" that created most of the promotional videos in the Detroit area, esp. for General Motors. Also, a great video of Karl Haas and JP McCarthy.
