I am a native speaker and i find it hilarious! Its hard to ignore the German voices but if you mute it its no longer that funny because all the screaming is also gone...

I'm not a native speaker, but I'm fluent and I've seen the film.

When the jokes are well written, I can tune out the German and (mostly) ignore the original context. When a joke fails, I hear the German and often can't find any of the rest of it funny. (Anyone who saw the film should know how disturbing the scene is.)

Even with well written jokes, I find distracting when a character says something short in German, but the subtitle is long or when the subtitles don't match the emotions.
