  • i had a 338 win mag for three days i shot it four times and busted my nose everytime traded it for a 300 win mag and i love it

  • 338 win mag $60 a box & a 200 grain bullet 3000 fps & 225 grain bullet 2800 fps.

    338 lapua mag $110 a box & a200grain bullet 32oo fps & 225 grain bullet 3000 fps

  • @wheelin20, that's a good one!

  • nuff said

  • guns are cool

  • .338 rum vs. .338 lapua?

  • @SimplyAsunder there both over bores and expensive how about that? :)

  • @MrDip02 duh, I already knew that. I was wondering about performance.

  • @SimplyAsunder haha i know it was a joke but honestly i don't really even know the lupua is i think a flatter shooter so can't help you on that haha

  • thats alcohol abuse

  • Nice video. That wind would drive me nuts though. .338 win mag is a great cartridge. In the right hands with the right loads it can do amazing things.

  • for me 223 for play and rabbits, and 338WM or 458 lott for the rest

  • hmm.. i love my 300 wm, mod 77. just an old leupold 3-7 on it but i out shoot my fatherinlaws 338 wm. not saying anything bad about it though. i just like my 300 better.

  • That laugh so funny

  • wow! 0:38 THAT SHREDDED THAT CAN

  • The 338 Win Mag looks fucking deadly... wonder how the Lapua must be...

  • With heavier bullets the Laupa performs a little better then 338

  • @cindysuern The 338 lapua is great, but only about ten percent faster. The ammo is much more expensive, but limited to a much smaller number of loadings. Requires a true magnum length action since it has a longer OAL, so there are much fewer guns chambered for it. The Lapua also recoils about twice as much, and has about twice as much muzzle blast. The 338 win chambering is available in the Browning BAR, which has very reasonable recoil due to the gas operation.

  • @1337fraggzb00N A little faster, a little more recoil, a bit flatter trajectory. The elk will never know the difference! :-)

  • @coelkwsm :-D

  • @1337fraggzb00N the 338 win mag is at 2800 fps with a 225 grain bullet at $60 a box of 20. the 338 lapua is at 3000 fps with a 225 grain bullet at $110 a box of 20. the 338-378 weatherby mag is at 3100 fps with a 225 grain bullet at $120 a box of 20.

  • damn stopping power on that round if you didnt get the head hell die of a caved in ribbed cage with collateral damages inside

  • love that laugh haha sounded like santa

  • .243 IS A GREAT DEER RIFLE, I have taken 5 deer with my .243, but i usually use my .300 winmag, i just got a .270, going to use that this year.

  • Would a 243. Be a good rifle for deer hunting

  • good that key stone is shit, try some alexander keiths.

  • hey, i really like your .223 (the first gun shot) and i was wondering what make and model is was, thank you and please reply!!

  • @1997fourtrax Thanks, its just a basic DPMS M4 style carbine. DPMS calls it an "AP4".

  • Mighty close to shooting over your backstop. careful about what might be just behind say for a mile are so

  • 1:00 epic laugh

  • Congratulations from BRAZIL!!!!!!

  • uhhhhh you missed the bottle with the 338 win mag and destroyed a poor rock lol

  • good keystone deserves to die, nasty shit

  • Awesome! I shot an old circular saw with my 300 once. It pretty much destroyed it!

  • on the last shot, when u didnt hit the bottle and disintegrated the rock, it made my day! Nice Vid!

  • That was cool, I like the bullet setup. 5 of 5 for sure

  • Yeah the 300 kicked way more and both were magnums. The 300 has about 650fps more muzzle velocity than the 338

  • Well you must have some other factors causing that recoil disparity. A typical .300 Winchester Magnum creates around 19.4 ft/lbs of recoil. The .338 Winchester Magnum creates around 31.4 ft/lbs. Where you using handloads or something? Maybe a lighter gun? Nice vid btw. 5 stars!

  • Good point, the rifles and ammo weren't mine so I am not sure about the rifle weights, bullet weights etc, I just know the 300 HURT, and the others didn't...LOL

  • @wavelength1970 my dad's .300 win mag has a nice muzzle break which makes it kick like a .22. no joke, the thing is a gentle beast of a gun.

  • @gandb21 the 300 win mag has 19.4 lbs recoil? or rather, a 30-06 has the same recoil as a 300 WM? perhaps i should rethink the 30-06 then

  • @davery25 30.06 is not going to have as bad a recoil as a 300wm. For any given bullet weight the 300wm is going to be pushing it at higher velocity, thus more recoil. Rifle weight is of course a factor in how hard it hits your shoulder....

  • @davery25 the .300 win mag has 27 ft/lbs recoil 30-06 21 ft/lbs recoil

  • dus the .300 kick more than the .338 and were they both winchester mags
