I got BANNED from commenting by Atheist Experience SIMPLY for suggesting they tackle other religions like Judaism, and look into the racism and other immorality within the Jewish oral law.
That PROVES right there that they're NOT an atheist organization at all, rather simply an anti-Christian organization (and I'm not a Christian).
Because some of these hypocrites are ethnically Jewish (some of the hosts) they REFUSE to talk about the Jewish religion, so they're not proper atheists at all!
The comments aboit the devil's work being done by these people is ridiculous. The argument that everyone who has even a slight doubt about their particular faith must be and is under the influence of a devil had been used way out of proportion. The very idea of a devil is laughable, a thing that you can scare away by reciting a few prayers yet an omnipotent god has been unable to defeat it in over 2000 years.

There was a Christian friend of mine who seems to think it is easier to not believe than it is to believe. I think it is harder not to believe---that is until you break the emotional attachment and reprogram your mind. Then it's second nature.

God is a spirit, an immaterial conscious being. All things in the universe consists of matter and/or energy, so if God isn't matter, is energy by definition. Energy is the capacity to do work, is eternal, omnipresent, wasn't created and can't be destroyed, can create matter, was the only thing present before the BB, and the energy required to make the universe must had been powerful. All these match Biblical descriptions of God. Therefore is plausible God exists.

I think this would have been about 1984 or so. This story sounds incredible now, but in the early 80s I lived in Idaho, which has a large Mormon population as well as other conservative religious types, and after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and other events, like the shoot down of the Korean airlines plane and the nuclear brinkmanship with Reagan and the nuclear protests, the movie "The Day After" and so on. This sort of doomsday thinking was definitely in the air at the time.

PART 6: I see so many cult stories weaved into this lie as well. How many people have led their cults out to remote areas to wait for the rapture, a lie in itself, to only end up drinking the poisoned Koolaid when the prophecy looked like it wasn't going to happen? I think this caller is a sham to corroborate Atheism or either that he's nothing more than a joke & mocking Christians.
PART 5: Now every Christian will be seen as crazy, bible thumpers waiting for the rapture to come prophets. There have been many preachers who are still considered prominent after giving bad prophecy to their members.
PART 4: I like how the caller throws in details of his own by saying the family friend was a polygamist. That is typically something known to Mormonism & everyone can identify with it as true and so it corroborates the caller's story & seemingly gives it more validity.
PART 3: The caller is obviously made up. The story is made up. Sounds like a lot of different stories put together. There is one in particular family that comes to mind, the Weavers, who went to the mountains to wait for the rapture. They took with them a family friend. They were set up by the government & the mother was killed & their son was killed.
PART 2: Further evidence is that Mormon's don't believe in the rapture. The guy on the end was trying to say that until the man in the middle distracted him from this truth & reminded him of a segment they had on the show about raptures when he was the host. That gave the guy on the end a chance to recant quickly & corroborate the caller's story.
PART 1: This caller is a liar, as are most Atheists, Anti-theists, & Agnostics. As he says at the end "I thought you guys would get a kick out that." Most of these people have to resort to lies in order to support their position. Otherwise they really have no position.
Believers have been fed these delusions since they were old enough to speak. No wonder they can't use their basic intelligence to reason through "God". I think this would have been about 1984 or so. This story sounds incredible now, but in the early 80s I lived in Idaho, which has a large Mormon population as well as other conservative religious types, and after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and other events, like the shoot down of the Korean airlines plane and the nuclear brinkmanship with Reagan and the nuclear protests, the movie "The Day After" and so on. This sort of doomsday thinking was definitely in the air at the time.

@YourDarkAccomplice explain what you mean by bigotry and apply it to this situation to explain how I have in any way expressed such a sentiment. Because I really fail to see it. Doesn't one a have to be fully aware of the bigotry in which they portray?

@iluvugo - uh oh, looks like you're going to learn another thing. "Xtian" means "Christian" hence the phrase "merry Xmas." And Catholics were the ones who help construe Jesus myth. They had hold of the bible for ages, and that's why when you read the original Hebrew bible (as I have) you'll notice it's literally DIFFERENT than the bible itself.
They also invented the concept of hell. Yay! A two new things you learned. I'm so proud of you. =D
