After listening to that after we finished the rehearsal, I realized I hadn't opened the hats. Those are some Wuhan hats that I got years ago when they made them for a minute. They sound like New Beats. In the last six months I went back to my old thin "K" high hats from the 1940's. It's a lighter sound for trio and works better slightly open cause they're not too loud as well. It's not as crisp a sound, but it has more length and a broader chick sound too.
good timing and great ride sound. Maybe you close the hi hat too much at the beginning. If you open it a bit more the sound would go wider (in my opinion)
