Maybe it costed a million to develop it but the each unit cost actually $15,000.- on top of that, $5,000.- a year for the regular maintenance from what I saw in the another video.

It's already more cost effective over hiring a person and Asimo works three shifts a day nonstop(excpet battery charging time). Negative side of this, there are still many things Asimo can't do but human can. Positive side of this, Asimo has entertaiment value. Everybody's going to line up to see this little guy.

I love QRIO, don't get me wrong, but he is a TOY, a $50,000 toy that Sony scrapped because they couldn't lower the retail price. I would have paid up to $2000 for him, but not FIFTY. Asimo is the vision of the future as domesticated AI. He's $2 million right now, but hopefully they'll get that price lowered once the kinks are worked out. $250k seems reasonable for what Asimo will be able to do in the home.
