I think Brita filters leave in the "beneficial" flouride. Check on the box...there is a list of things that each filter removes. Brita and Pur both leave flouride in the water. Check Berky...I 'm pretty sure their filters remove it.

I read an article years ago about the ground water contamination from all the leaking fuel tanks around the country. The additive in the fuel is said to have contaminated all our water. The fuel stations are still being checked for leaks. A lot of people couldn't afford to replace the rusty tanks and closed up. Now they are puttin in air lines to help evaporate the fuel underground. The prices on fuel started rising. My guess is in case the people decided to sue the fuel companies
