I played this on the nes back in the day with no cheats and actually made it to the last boss only to be defeated, and its funny when i was younger when i played this game i didnt have a color tv i had a black and white one lol so i missed out on Color for a long time till I was able to work and by my own when i was 16 or 17.I know i went off subject but hey nes games brings back memories like that to me because thats all we got now is memories :(
They've actually made other Blaster Master games. Most notably, and I use that term loosely, Blaster Master 2 for the Genesis. If you have the chance, you ought to do a video on that game. It's...well, basically the same thing as this with "better" graphics, a better storyline and...I guess there's added game play because there are some parts with an overhead view while in S.O.P.H.I.A. (BM2's name for the tank).
I always thought this game was a great mix of good controls and interesting gameplay...despite the strange storyline :P It was amazingly hard though...and long. No passwords and the inability to save meant you had to sit through the entire game at once, and if you didn't know where you were going, you were going to wander around aimlessly. It didn't help that Level 4 was found in Level 1...
The story is a product of crazy ass localization. I'm pretty sure the Japanese plot is completely different. Love this game though, but I never had the patience to beat it since there's no fucking passwords or anything.
LOL, I was just thinking what the heck that game with the kid and his giant frog was, and then I watched your vid. I was going to ask you if you knew what it was, I guess you do. I played it once at a friends house a long time ago, weird ass story. Stuck in my mind ever since. Cool game, but definitely hard.

This is the European version. This version is harder than the US release in my opinion.

This game had the best music ever. Stage 6 & 7. This is my favorite game of all time. Whenever anyone asks I always say Blaster Master.

at 9:21 I thought I heard a doorbell go off. I even had to run downstairs to check to see if it was mine. I think I'm going crazy.
